I got my leachie about 3 months ago.. he’s only 5 and a half months old but is already cage aggressive during the evening/night and still won’t accept being hand fed nor wants to eats insects 😭

Mine is currently loving the papaya but will also eat the fig with insects and growth & breeding I also suggest the Leapin leachies and black panther diet

Fig and insect seems to be the favorite for my leachies. Cresteds favorite is probably a mix of with insect and apricot

I bought a small kitchen scale today in order to start weighing my crested gecko. My crestie isn’t super chunky. He looks to be at regular weight. I shall see later tonight.

Thanks for sharing. I just purchased a baby leachie who is aggressive when getting into their enclosure. I was worried I wouldn’t want to handle him but I think this idea will help. He’s also only 10 grams right now so I’m trying not to handle him much. Just getting him out to clean his area each evening.

Personally I’m more of a natural bioactive vivarium kinda person but these setups look great and also have a naturalistic elements to them. If you’re up to date with your maintenance then your setup is great but bioactive setups are so easy to maintain since I don’t have to clean them extensively and often lol 😂

Would you have any tips for a newer owner? Mind unfortunately doesn’t like me much. I’m assuming it’s cage aggression but she hisses, croaks and chirps at me whenever I take her out. I let her hide in something when she’s out but she just hisses, croaks and chirps if I try seeing if she’ll come out. I don’t want her to be afraid of me and like me :(

What would you recommend if they’re not super food motivated?

My leachie didnt really eat the first 3 months she wouodnt eat live food only repashy but now shes eats a fuck ton, rips the crickets out of the tongs now and even waits on her perch when she wants them as soon as i open the tank and she sees the cricket she goes wild
