How do you mute the strings so perfectly?
so the way I do it is a little different from the way most people do it, I believe. When I'm playing octaves, I let my index finger stay flat enough to mute the highest strings while still being able to press down the string I want (in this case the A string). Then, I lay my middle finger over the top just to mute the lowest string. It takes some practice and finding out which way works best for you. Keep experimenting with it and you'll find a great way to mute the strings!
