@edithwright6357 hi lovely. I am not a medical professional, but someone who lives with having gone through this. It's really hard to gage your own timeline and what it is your are going through x but ask yourself these three questions 1) have i been using steroids long term? 2) have i needed to up my potency? 3) do I have rashes in places that I didn't before? -- if these are a yes or mostly yes, then I would ask your provider if there are other ways to manage your eczema. Can also ask for antifungal ways to treat what is most likely seborrheic dermatitis (mostly on face, scalp area) and is prone to being fungal based. Can also reach out to someone like Jennifer Fugo in the film to look at more holistic ways to truly heal rather than relying in the creams x

Where's dr. Rapaport? That's a bit of an insult to someone who was the original person to discover this and who coined the term TSW, TSA and RSS, and who did all he could to make this condition known, especially in the medical community. We know so much about TSW because of him and yet he's not in this video. A bit of a slap to the face.

My daughter endured the torture of RSS/TSW for 4 years. My whole purpose for living was her care. She spent most of her time submerged in a warm bath asleep or wrapped loosely in a blood-stained down comforter. We had to build a custom platform bed with internal fans for her because mattresses were too hot and she would stick to the sheets from oozing lymph fluid. She became allergic to most foods, and we spent our weekends preparing her tailored meals for the week. Every 3rd day I washed, and blow dried her long hair. She was so exhausted we would scratch for her. She very gradually emerged and is doing quite well today but the trauma remains. We no longer put blind trust into physicians.

Briana, I'm so thankful for your advocacy work. This documentary is incredible. I'm just a little ahead of you in my TSW journey (Sept. 2014) and to see so little change in the attitude and beliefs within the medical community is outrageous and absolutely infuriating. One small glimmer of hope - I live in Toronto, Canada and my daughter is in 1st year nursing school in a small city north of here. In one of her nursing classes her teacher talked about the dangers of topical steroids. It wasn't related to her experience but rather her knowledge of their dangers. Let's hope that change is coming. But for now, it's this community that's spreading the word and I'm sure you all have helped prevent people from ever touching topical steroids. ❤

I am approx 9 years steroid free after 45 years of use. Yes I still suffer however it is one of the best things I ever did stopping steroids. Its the thinned skin that causes me most issues now. Thank you for being our guardian light our trail blazer ❤ Unfortunately and non surprisingly I have chronic fatigue and PTSD symptoms that I am now learning about 6.5 years in! 💛 I will heal , I’m learning to release the fear and reprogramme my brain body connection to safety. 💛

A superbly produced, highly professional, emotionally charged, informative documentary. Well done Briana - let’s hope this documentary is a catalyst for real change in prescribing protocols, and the healthcare ‘profession’ now fully awakes to the damage they have, and are still causing by the irresponsible, misprescribing and over prescribing of topical corticosteroids. It’s rather disappointing that the documentary hasn’t at the very least given a nod to Dr Marvin Rapaport, an ITSAN founder, and a dermatologist who has done more than any other medical professional in the world to highlight this totally preventable condition and probably successfully treat more patients than any other MD. His 2024 ‘White Paper’ on TSA / TSW is the gold standard reference to this iatrogenic condition. Not mentioning Dr Rapaport in a documentary about TSW is like making a film about WWII without mentioning Winston Churchill…….! It would have been nice to have given a little more time to Mr Sean Dillnut who has done amazing work producing a video for the last three years of the ‘March in March’ TSW Awareness Day in London, an event in March every year that brings dozens of people in the TSW community together, alleviating so much isolation and creating a strong sense of camaraderie. This years event culminated in a TSW petition handed in to the front door of No.10 Downing Street. ‘Still Preventable’ - an amazing documentary for sure, ironically, left me with no real conclusion as to how to ‘prevent’ further suffering. I don’t believe big pharma really give two hoots about the continued suffering due to the misuse of their products, in fact, their business model is a patient healed is a customer lost. Big pharma is a pathalogically profit driven business. Sadly, I believe the only way to stop all this preventable suffering is for a brave law firm to step forward to represent the millions of victims of this medical negligence scandal. Legal action must be taken against healthcare professionals who have caused so much unnecessary suffering to set a legal precedent for future law suits against so many irresponsible healthcare ‘professionals’. There is evidence of TSW / side effects from topical corticosteroids since the late 1950s - this is not a new phenomenon! The USA is supposed to be a global leader in healthcare - maybe if Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has a pivotal role in the new US administration, we may see an end to the corrupt medical industrial complex that is making millions of people across the world sick for the pursuit of ever greater profit.

I'm in the UK and struggling with TSW, flaring right now. The Preventable documentary blew my mind and Still Preventable made me cry a lot, but I'm very grateful for your hard work to research this and spread awareness for the TSW community and the medical community.

Thank you so much for this documentary! So very important to raisse awareness about this horrible condition! I*ve been going through it twice... First time in the 90's without knowing anything about it. No internet, no group support. But i got healed through homeopathic treatment. Just small ordinary rashes somtimes when i got stressed Unfortunately I did have a bad flare many years later in a very stressful time in my life. I let a person I trusted persuade me to use steroids.... and I was stuck. It is a drug! And I got addicted one more time until I stopped in 2020. Now i am soon 5 years in and this time is worse because it has been pretty much a constant flare. So exhausting. It really affects every area of ones life. But I will never ever take steroids or any other medical treatment again. I go for natural healing and trust my body. Once again thank you Briana Banos and all the participants! ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
