@@phillipbarnett848 its Chris, dont have the full name. If you call Llanerchidda Farm in Llandovery they will help with booking.
decent
Please no more blur/slide/slime/ghostly effect. Nice route tho!

@@marekonbike9291 it’s very clear
The constant blur cuts are pretty annoying.
@@6Twisted Thanks for the feedback. It was 4hrs of footage cut to 30mins video. Didnt want to just to cut with no transition, but understand it might be too much specially on short clips.
Awesome video, been wanting to rude Llandovery for ages, you dont have google maps co ordinates for that lane that went through the forrestry by any chance do you? Would much apriciate it
I don’t think that would go down well with the guides or Llanachinda farm ….
@@motoboggle7525 why not? Im a trf member and our local trf have done a couple Llandovery rides that i was too busy to attend, and im just asking for the location of that lane?
@ it makes no difference if your a trf member or not these routes are protected and some involve you needing permission to use, also in fairness to the guides and the farm that part of what you are paying for.
@motoboggle7525 i had no idea this wasnt just a public green lane
Hi, we made point not to record as they have agreements with farmers and land owners that we don't have. So we are paying them next year again :) Its not cheap, but its fair to them...
How long have you been riding offroad? You make it look easy.
@@6Twisted Started 4 years ago on bigger bike solo, then joined TRF and downsized and rode more. To be honest at beginning it was scarry, but as you ride more you get better at it. Also going to offroad parks like Parkwood at Tong, or Cown quarry helps you building confidence in difficult parts.
@@marekonbike9291 I started over 2 years ago now 😭 I blame the lanes in Wiltshire, they're mostly ruts and chalk so I don't get to practice on the rocky stuff. I've been to south wales a few times where it's mostly rocks and it's fucking hard work.
A for effort digging everyone else out. That looks like massive fun. Shame we don't get any bogs here in Wiltshire.
@@6Twisted well thank for the appraisal, you would not like them on each ride though 🤣. Once, maybe twice a year is enough 🤣
Just watched the first 10 mins! Great video Marek! Didn’t know these lanes existed! Looking forward to a ride on them, let me know if you’re doing them again any time soon 👌🏻

What drove you to add the SC2 and given you've hopefully dialed it in now is it worth all the effort (expensive, not easy to get hold of in UK, installation, tuning, etc)? I do like the idea of setting up once and forget ... I'm not a carb man.
Well I had mine for £100. It's supposed to reduce consumption, can't prove as did not ride enough before with original carb. When you lean bike to ground (no leaking) and it's dialed now. Also has capability to tune easily if needed. Would I pay £800? NOT NOT NOT

Yes the Xtrainer is lots of fun 😁 fast sections bit sketchy but the woods and single tracks that's where it shines!
@@marekonbike9291 agree faster stuff is sketchy. Similar to you I added the tank for range, but also the Gnarly pipe and 6 months ago KTech ORVS valving + resprung for my weight and that helped the pinging off things and a little better at speed. Been a great bike, but might move to the RR at some point. Anyways, thanks for sharing the video 👍👍
@@MrEunuch yep, mine was revolved by previous owner with Ktech ORVS, and I changed rear spring to my weight (5kg lighter... getting there 🐌) but might restring front in future. For now will keep her until ready for rr.
Good video again Marek. That’s my neck of the woods. On Denton moor most weekends. I didn’t know where the very technical stream section was mid way through though? Next time you my way give me a ping. I’ll show you some more routes 👍

@@marekonbike9291 Thanks for your reply. Yeh I’m in the trf. I think I’ve worked out which lane it is now. Found it on the greenroadmap. 👍
Great route. I thought Denton moor was all TRO? Would you be able to share the gpx if you wouldn’t mind? It’s all local to me
Love this vlog
Cheers Sir
Have you figured it out?
Yes, it was far too lean. The settings (112 clicks) that came as correct setup were wrong. Now I am about 18clicks reacher and bike runs much better.
@@marekonbike9291 Exactly what I had to do with mine. Setting was supposed to be 110 for mine and I'm at 92 clicks and it runs perfect. However, the issue with mine was probably that I am running a normal 300 cage for the air filter rather than the stock choked up air filter cage that comes on the Xtrainer. I suspect you are too since your bike already has most of the mods that people do to them.
@@aftermarketlife452 I think I have the stock Xtrainer cage as I am using the oil pump from convenience point of view. Mine works well now, but I don't think it does anything with reducing fuel consumption. Comparing to lads that ride on 300rr... mine has about same consumption when riding together and they have more power...
Maybe wrong sounds like it's hunting for fuel What's it like on full revs ridings
Full revs it's OK, just the low rpms have issue. But already found a good yt video where guy tunes carb lean and then reach to show difference. Mine is too lean. So as you say hunting for fuel ⛽️
It's too lean
That's what I thought Dave. Sort of new to this kind of stuff, I set it as per SmartCarb instructions 112 and vent even leaner... after that just went richer and was getting better.
@@marekonbike9291 don't get too hung up on the number of clicks required to dial the SmartCarb in but do keep track of your changes. Oil injected Betas typically run around 110-112 clicks give or take, but with premix we set them to around 85 clicks from full rich. The reason is because we only meter the fuel with oil injection and both the fuel and the oil with it running premix which requires a richer setting. The adjustment resolution is very fine with the SmartCarb - finer than any other carburetor. It does not give the same effect, but to help you understand it takes around 30 clicks on the SC2 to move the metering rod the same distance as a single clip position change moves a needle in a Keihin. Different fuel compositions regionally may also effect our tuning baselines and ultimate best state of tune. We trust that you have contacted us directly for tuning assistance? If not we encourage you to do so. Education is the most important work we do and we are happy to help any SmartCarb owner new or used. Lastly we absolutely do not recommend using a check-valve fuel tank vent like your blue stubby one. They are prone to causing intermittent venting restriction which can cause fuel flow restriction and running issues into the SmartCarb. The stock fuel tank vent is advised.
bottom of heartbreak just roll it about 5-10 mph on the right if you are coming down (same if going up), simply ride down the steps - safe and easy no brakes - the middle or left line are daft. The lane where everybody fell upside down it is better to just use the left side - inside the deep canal/rut and just climb , no danger of broken legs by falling in the ditch - i am surprised nobody got hurt great lanes eh
You right, went there first time and learned the hard way 😅 they are brilliant lanes. Came to same conclusion after making the mistakes first.
I enjoyed that. My neck of the woods. Know most of those trails but couldn’t workout where the tricky section up that narrow stream was?
No idea for me also, its out of the area I am familiar with. Most lanes I know are closer to my home (huddersfield). So when possible I join rides in different places. Weekend after Easter we are riding in Wales Llangollen. Have been twice with Moto Junkies, this time we are doing our own arrangements.
@@marekonbike9291 not to worry thanks anyway. I think I’ve found it. I ride up on the moors a lot. I’m also taking the bike down to wales at the end of the month. Will be staying around Dolgellau. And riding around the Strata Florida.

Hi mate, not sure if you are aware but at 21 secs in you are on a footpath, we are trying to keep this Lane open but struggling to as the amount of off piste use over the winter.

Wanker.... Destroying the butiful nature
What do you think you do each time you drive your car on the roads? You’re a bit thick aren’t you.
Shut the fuck up. Destroying the nature how? By flicking up some mud. Trail riders that are a member of the TRF help keep these lanes open for everyone. They also maintain a lot of tracks when needed.
You obviously don't know what a byway green lane is,its a Unsurfaced road which anyone with road tax insurance and mot are entitled to use.
Uneducated 🙄 these are legal byways.

I have a 300l its got a yoshi and a tune geared down a little. I am wandering about the power difference. I cant seem to track down dyno numbers for the 390 but I'm guessing its 10hp more than the crf. I like the little crf but I have been riding with faster riders lately and its a little sketchy how you got to ride it to keep up. I'm good in the woods but the crf just does not have the legs when the trail opens up. I'm about 6foot 230 do you think the 390 has enough more power to make it worth it or should I go straight to the 430 or 500 been riding 38 years. thanks for any direction. not to many people that have gone from a 300 to the beta I know of.
Hi, The CRF is nice bike but it has some limitation. I am 6’1 and 230 and the beta is more than enough. Comparing to CRF it feels more like 2x power. It actually makes you tired from the pulling as the bike pulls incredibly when you open the throttle. Going to ~500 I would only do if you do lots of long roads stretches like planning some touring. But if it’s for greenlaning 390 or even 350 is enough. These bikes are tuned differently than CRF hence the service intervals every 30hrs.
If you like something even more tuned for fun factor then KTM 350exf they have more licenses for no effort lifts of front wheel 😉 also more RUclips videos on how to fix stuff…since they break more 😩
@@marekonbike9291 lol yeah KTM life. Thats one of the reasons I got the crf is the 7500 mile service intervals. Even after the mods though it'd obvious Honda never intended for the 300 to be flogged like I have been the last couple of rides. I have had 450s in the past but they all are hard to ride fast in the tight single track. 350 might be the ticket. It's on my short list. I imagine the ktm 350 or the beta 390 both are gonna require more work to keep them going but I guess thats the price you pay for all that performance.
@@marekonbike9291 390 just might be the ticket then. As long as it will pull a power wheelie in 3rd then its fine. The crf even after all the mods still wont do that. I do have to ride about an hour to get to the trails at about 60mph 100kph. You would think the service intervals would be longer since they split the engine oil and transmission. 30 hours isn't really that bad though.
@@twowheelslater7112 I think it can do the power wheelie did not try those are on my list to learn 😅 As per the service I was not sceptic but it’s nothing bad. Also the service interval was made for racing so if you don’t race you could keep longer but just from longevity point I do mine every 29-30 hours. It’s 1 hour job max…
If you havent found it yet you can lighten the clutch it is probably set to the midsetting... I do not have a 300l but do have the crf450l and run it as a light adv and it is really a wonderful machine...I added the Beta 390rs as a lighter bike with a plate and honestly it is better off the road by miles in every way for me but is not quite as good for the several day long trips that may have 30 to 40 mile high speed road sections like up to mid 70s. the subframe on the crf is solid and a week long camping trip is easy.
Marek you got the gpx for this.? Jordan
