Joe Belmont
Добавлен 31 май 2012
I've taught guitar for 45+ years. I'm totally into teaching because to me it's about learning how to learn.
My favorite advice: Best way move ahead on guitar: learn the blues. Leads to jamming, chord knowledge, knowing licks, timing , RHYTHM GUITAR .... Mastering the blues involves getting total flexibility within the form; The Blues is a total Universe within itself; also it can prepare you for developing that flexibility within all kinds of forms and styles.
I believe it was the Blues that really turned me into the guitarist/musician that I am right now.
Right now this channel will have Blues instructionals , my pieces, instructionals on Theory and a whole boatload of guitar styles.

Recorded 2/23/2023 This guitar has been a good friend since I found it in White Plains, NY in 1976. It's got a unique sound: kind of a Gibson style neck with a Telecaster looking body. Made by Guiliano, serial #016. Many thanks to Quist for the backing track: ruclips.net/video/HOeyOgxUyPE/видео.html&ab_channel=Quist. His backing tracks are THE best!

I love this song! It's fun to play, and a great chops builder. Online lessons available, e-mail joe@joebelmont.com PS- I did the video with my trusty Vox Pathfinder 15R...it's a great little practice amp, particuarly for blues. I had the Gain Boost button on for this one.

Intertmediate guitar! This has got some nice variations. More important, it could be called "How to practice the basics before learning the CAGED system". (Before CAGED=. B.C.?. That's funny.) We cover: -E and A shape Bar chords -Power chords -Basses, Muting, ghosting

My arrangement of the classic: "Stella by Starlight." The chord progressions wander thru a murky but beautiful universe without resolving till the very end. It's a great piece.

Very cool!
The tone king...go Joe Go! Perfect clean and gritty...amazing!
Thanks Joe- Good to see a new gem from you.
Theodore: Thank you so much for the good words. Best- Joe
Don't know how I came across this but I'm sure glad I did.
Awesome.
Nice tone… amp?
Hey Ben: I used the "Brit and Clean" amp that comes with GarageBand. I think it's their digital copy of a Marshall. Most of the tune is done with the neck pickup: I've got a Dimarzio PAF, very similar to a Gibson Humbucker!
To long almost falling g asleep 💤
Please tune your guitar man!!!!!!
Thank you Joe that’s a great lesson. I’m not familiar with Daniel Castro, but I believe Tommy Castro does this song also. I liked your rhythm lesson on this song also. Looking forward to see some more of your lesson.
I love it! Makes damn good sense. I’m gonna get into it.
Thanks for sharing such beautiful licks. Cheers from Indonesia.

Whoa!! What a great lesson!!
All I could think while listening and watching your intro was "wow, there's so much soul he's putting into the song." I couldn't look away or stop listening. Then as the lesson goes on you keep adding your own stuff and I couldn't help but grin at how amazing it felt and sounded. You deserve so much more attention and praise.
One of the best learning channels. Thanks!

Joe, sou um grande fã do seu trabalho e você arrebenta na guitarra, me ajuda muito com seus tutoriais.
Very good. Can you or anyone tell me if the drum beat would be a shuffle, or what would be the correct style name?
Shuffle!
Fantastic. This inspires me.
Thank you so much, Dave!!!!!
Love it. So much depth and soul in this one, Joe!
Very beautiful, Joe!
Sounds beautiful Joe!
Totally wailin' out there, Joe (kinda like BB's band on the old live vinyl). You were so hot you outplayed the backing track. Blues on!
Wow-play it, Joe!!!
Sounds great, Joe. Good to see you!
Thanks for listening Doug! It's nice to hear from you; I think I'll send you a note on FB. Best-Joe
Great sound Joe! Really nice
Yeah, I did like that sound. It's the double coil pickup on the neck played straight into that Clean and Brit virtual amp, available in Logic and GB pretty much the exact setting as it opens...with lots of big reverb...Definitely a good sound for me to remember!
simple bliss listen it! guitar is a dream also 🙂
Rafa: Thanks for the beautiful comments! Best to you-Joe
So great, lovin the tone
Hey Tommy...great to hear from you. Double coil neck pickup. Go figure!
