2019 BMW 330i review | Should you buy it 5 years later? (POV)

The g20 330i carries on the BMW 3 series tradition. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged engine that is producing 255HP mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission putting the power down through the xdrive system. On the outside you will find a modern sleek look. On the inside you will find a well laid out interior with lots of great tech. Is the 2019 BMW 330i a luxury sport sedan worth buying?

im making my 330i into a track car because of the weight difference and its really noticeable
I have a 2019 430i, feels, looks, and drives the same as a brand new 430i. Same engine and transmission as the new ones.
XHP has x-delete to switch to rwd :)
You have a S version right ? (2 pipes); only agree with steering wheel; i have the same and sometimes i think to replace that into a sport wheel (Porsche tequipiment program)
This video is a piss take right?

These 2019 330i's with 50k miles are selling for like $17k
Where
lol no they’re not 23-28k$ I just bought one today with 20k miles and one owner for 26,5
@@ksuscttmrrs where you from
I’ve some even lower than that in Florida.
@@ksuscttmrrs $28k for an xDrive model probably. Good luck with that car
Paddles are great to have, but how often do you use them? Not much.
All the time. Sport mode and paddles is a fun drive.
on a white car u see every shit detailed thats why your front and back looks weird. same with your gap between wheels and body.
How can you dislike the high ground clearance?? That's one of the main reasons people buy SUV'S instead. Sedans need to have high ground clearance to be practical and competitive with the SUV market. You can always lower it, but stock it should come as it is.
Damn, its already been 5 years?
right lol!
Is the ambient lighting on?
The automatic shut off needing to be activated everytime is due to national laws. Easier for you to just google why than have me explain
We have a 2020, I have M Sport and Shadowline package. I had to buy the black grill since they didn’t black all the chrome, easy and hard to fix but worth it. I wish the calipers were only M Sport brakes - not given for M sport package I got somehow. My instrument cluster isn’t a screen, it’s the retro type with some screen (2019), no Sport+ yet since they reserved for later years - you can code it
I have the same interior
Is that not just your auto stop/start? U can turn off auto stop/Start using 'bimmer code' on ur phone with OBD cunnextor..
is this faster than a stock Type R or a stock GTI?
i just got home from racing an SI and I beat him but not by a crazy amount, im intake and axle back exhaust only and he sounded stock. type r would more than likely take it from a roll, and a dig would be close up to 60 would be my guess
GTI i think would lose from a dig and probably a roll too
No
I have a 318d 2019….love it but it doesn’t have those runflat tyres which would stop me buying one.Had them before on 320i coupe and they were ok till they wear and you get a rough ride.Expensive too. From this video I can hear the road noise. The 318d was mapped which I didn’t know but 200bhp and it runs on air.Had golf gti 2005 mk5.super quick but can’t beat a bmer
I don't know why I'm watching this, I drive a 2022 Toyota Camry 😂
Nice car man, what year is it ??
You did not mention how hard it is to get the engine hatch open.
Blimey. What about the totally rubbish PCM?
What did you circle in the video. I couldn't tell .

...mentions "tighten to 35-Ft-Lbs",...then proceeds to 'strong-arm the oil pan plug"! SMH Why not add the amount of oil based on the required capacity to be added when oil and oil filter is changed! I'm sure it's in the Owner's Manual. You save money,...no doubt, but a sloppy job! Edit: I gave a "Like" for the effort!
@@JMD535 😭😭😭
I like the low profile ramps, are they high enough to get under there? How high do they go? I'd rather do that than jack stands.
@@madisondrumz their about 5-6 inches high. I wish they were higher but they do the job.
Good video but It would be great if you edited in some personal experience of reliability of the car during this 5 years. Have you had any issues? have you had to replace any parts?
My 2019 35k miles has been great. Only thing ive had to change so far is the battery (but I’m in AZ so they go quick), and the sunroof motor. No other issues.
@@UsernameBoobtube thank you
@@Vess-You mines been kind of crazy to maintain, but ive been under warranty and i think the dealer was just making claims tbh. my left door/mirror motor went out, my check engine light came on due to the active airflow vents getting stuck closed, and it burnt oil one time, so i got a free valve cover and gasket but i think that was me just driving aggressive. thats the only real issues in my opinion. the dealer did 2 strut mounts, 2 engine mounts, 2 strut mounts again a couple months later, all free which i dont think they needed it, but i kept saying ok because ill take free new parts, and now im out of warranty they said my struts were going out, but i took it to a european shop over here and they laughed at me and said its in amazing shape
@@docexotic thank you!
As long as the brakes do the job, they are good......unnecessarily bigger brakes equals more weight so would be detrimental. I think I would maybe want to compare the EPS vs past gen Boxster hydraulic steering and see which is better....if the EPS has less road feel, that would be my gripe (would be the same for many brands!).
such a beautiful shape
Just sold my 2019 with M sport and track handling package. One of the best daily drivers I’ve owned. Thanks for sharing your experience. Enjoy the car!
That's my car. I've had it since 2019. Just got done paying off. Still drives like brand new after 60k miles.
why did you sell it?
@@barcostudioI have a habit of changing cars frequently 😂 I enjoyed the G20 for a couple of years and I was ready to try something different.
Dude you are tripping, this car is phenomenal.
Why wouldn't you just wait for it to stop draining?
@@SteveHeil-tb7wg takes too long I waited 20 minutes and it was still draining and it’s such a small amount that it doesn’t matter
Of you want to make sure the oil is completely out... start the car after removing drain plug. Goose it, ever so slightly...empty in no time, eh
This is why I go to my mechanic 😂😂😂😂
Pathetic complaints prove how good the 981 Boxster really is!👍
They recommend about 35/40 mph for the roof opening and closing
Same as the last guy, I have a blue one with the pdk box and I love it, I live in Scotland and we have some great roads to play with
Are you actually serious here… wow
"If you drive hard your palm might hit the paddle shift".. My elbow also accidently hits my gear knob on my cheap peugeot when I drive it hard. I feel u.
I owned the original Boxster back in 1998. Great driving car but back then I suggested that the back wndow should be real glass (not plastic), the soft top should be red for red interior, and the side air intakes should be bigger and lower like a jet fighter. People scoffed at me. Look at it now!
Not as pretty as the 718
#6 Steering wheel on the wrong side.
These are foolish complaints, and baseless. These are what we call first world problems.
I don't think you understand. When someone is nitpicking, that is a great sign that the overall car is doing well.
Are you an engineer?😂
I miss renting this out, the most confidence-inspiring car I've ever driven in my life. Sounds amazing and is pretty quick.
To fill out the wheel wells you could get 20” rims and tires. I did on my 981 Base, it looks very aggressive and menacing now 🏎
How much were the headers?

Picky or what!
Nicely done!
Sports Steering wheels 100%. The rest mmmm,,, far too fussy,,, just enjoy. I have same 20 inch wheels. My PASM gives me 10mm lower but looks like yours tbh. Standard is 18 inch.
1# gets to many girls 2# can’t stop having fun 3# it’s so good on backroads that I keep exceeding the speed limit 🤷🏽♂️
That’s a great looking ride. The silver and Bordeaux red is awesome combo. Such a fun car to drive. Enjoy!!
