And still no dead pedal
Nope no dead pedal. I don't really have an issue with it or find it uncomfortable.
Good information thanks for the video.
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice tutorial! Super high quality footage!!!
I think every jeep owner has a soft spot for those 2 doors, looks great specially the hydro blue! I have a 23 gladiator, Rubicon they are surprisingly pretty reliable no issue yet at 10,000 miles mine was a leftover 23 when the 24s came out, I always average around 19mpg I’m also on a 3 inch lift jks.
i think the lower back pillow is supposed to have a massage feature, but it does require being plugged in via usb. so maybe if you didn't wanna be tethered by usb, could get a portable power bank to hook the pillow up to. if you end up giving it a try, let me know! 🙂
I'll take a look and definatley mention it in a long term review. Thanks for the headsup!
@ I was satisfied with your review and ordered one from Amazon, should be here Tuesday!
@@xDevlinx21 So i found the massager, it actually works pretty good. Really surprised for a chair under $200 to have it.
@ I’ll be sure to check it out when mine arrives! Thanks again. 🍻

Thanks for the review! Im glad you uploaded this video because somehow just a few videos are available for this size...
Nice review, just a question is this a miniled? And/or does this have FALD? Because everywhere i looks it's neither denied or confirmed
@@Jackty89 this is an IPS screen
@@OddlySpecificFilms That i know, doesn't take away it can't be mini-led. Look at ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQXR that is an IPS, mini-led with 512 dimming zones. Hence why i'm asking since neither product page or asus website confirm it having or not having it :D
Your content is quite relaxing I must say. Is the infotainment center dimmable or does it just have a night mode or possibly both?
@@kellynewman862 thank you! Yes the screen is dimmable and can be adjusted separately for day/night brightness
The dealer removed the transmission skid plate on my 2023 Wrangler Willys manual, to solve a recall for an overheating clutch problem. While doing an oil change, I observed a bolt protruding on the driveshaft flange. The dealer also had worked on the clutch in the recall, and failed to used new bolts with Loctite in the repair. He reused the same bolts and broke one in the process. Not only that, the remaining bolts were only "finger tight" on the flange. A closer Jeep dealer corrected this for $200 and the original dealer reimbursed me for the repair. This is just a head's up to others. As for its 6-speed transmission, I believe 6th gear is worthless. The Jeep redlines at 6K and on the highway you cruise at 2K on the tach in 5th gear doing 70mph. I have yet to use 6th gear! Regarding that awful start/stop. A company called Auto Stop Eliminator in W. Virginian sells a product to by-pass that mode. It costs about $100 and they have a video how to install it. Actually it took more time to zip tie the wires than install the unit. I put one on my Wrangler and it was one of the best mods to date.
Sorry to hear it sounds like some incompetent people working there. Glad to hear the problem is fixed. TBH after looking through some of those photos of "clutch failures" it looks more like the factory leaving flywheel/pressure plate bolts loose and eventually failing. A clutch shouldn't explode through a bellhousing even if melted into oblivion especially with some of the stories happening to people cruising on the highway. My thought is they messed up on torque specs or loc-titing them properly at the assembly line.
@@OddlySpecificFilms You did a good review of the Willys. Mine came with an automatic limited slip diff in the rear. And just to get it, I had a Torq Master Locker put the front. The cost for that was $400 plus labor at an axle shop.
Dang that's the exact truck I want in color too! Jelly.😂.. Enjoy!
the traction control is pretty smart . even my old 09 rubicon ripping down bush roads trying to drift it would straighten you again. if youre a good driver with reflexes you can correct very quickly with the short wheel base .
i have one on order in 41 color as an extra vehicle , trails , going to the beach , whatever . looking forward to the manual tranny willys 2dr. ill keep my diesel rubi gladiator for more serious wheeling and jeep camping. you made a very enjoyable video ,covered some real common sense stuff ,thanks.

Great video. I really love my 2024 JL Rubicon 6MT. Having the manual Jeep is alot of fun to drive on and off road, and I've done alot of offroading with it this past year. Yes, the clutch is light and it is a little annoying when trying to do some obstacles in 4H, so I just use 4L most of the time on any moderate to technical offroading. Obviously rock crawling you'll want 4L anyway but there are obstacles that my friends do in their automatic Jeeps in 4H that this clutch struggles with and you need 4L. It's a bummer but not enough to take away from the overall experience. The manual is alot of fun to drive and once you get used to those nuances, it's not really that big of a deal and completely adjustable. There's nothing I've found that this Jeep can't do offroad for the average person. I've certainly done way more than I thought I'd be comfortable doing and the JL just tackles trails with ease.
Glad you have been enjoying it! The clutch complaints are a two sided coin for sure. The softness might actually be a bit easier for 4+ hour days of driving if I am on a road trip. I have to agree though it doesn't affect the experience overall much and I would definatley buy the 6 speed again in a heartbeat.
@OddlySpecificFilms Same! I wouldn't have bought the wrangler in auto. The clutch is fine on road. The only time it can get dicey is offroad on certain obstacles because how light it is. But it's an adjustment that can be made.
I don't know about this specific transmission but I do know that the ASIN transmissions are pretty much Toyota. It's what Toyota uses.
I would guess it is very similar. Oddly enough I wasn't able to find a model number listed to find out what exactly is inside the new Tacomas.
Jeep should offer manual windows as a no-cost option for the Minimalists among us who appreciate having one less electronic thing to break on us.
I ended up with a 2-door Willys that looked just like yours but and auto. I didn't get a manual for several reasons. 1. They were really hard to find. I couldn't find any 2 door manuals near me. Certainly not in Willys or Rubicon trim. 2. My wife won't drive the manual, and this Jeep was at least as much for her. 3. I was able to test drive a 4-door manual. Some issues with using the clutch - there is no space to put your foot to the left of the clutch and you hit your leg on the door strap pretty much every time. I thought the manual drove well though. Clutch was light and had reasonable travel. The shift throws were reasonable short and engagement was positive. I thought it was better than the Bronco manual. The auto is very good though which reduces my disappointment on not having a stick.
They sure are hard to find, thankfully I found mine in the same state. Glad to hear you are enjoying your 2 door! Funny enough I couldn't find a manual Bronco nearby and it would be almost 50k to get a 2025 with a rear locker and heated seats so that's a huge price bump over the Jeep for the same capability/creature comforts.
Thanks for the video. Just to confirm, the headlights are LED, right? They are so bright.🙂
Yes they are, I just checked and the LED lights are part of the Willys package according to my window sticker. They work great at night!

Muscle car ASMR
I had the same Jeep except a Rubicon and I drove it from Phoenix, Arizona to Moab, Utah. I ran the Hill’s revenge trail and drove back to Phoenix. I averaged 22 miles per gallon for the entire trip. Pretty good with 33 inch tires! I had a Tacoma with 31 inch tires that got 16 miles per gallon on the same trip.
That's great for the whole trip. I'm going to try again in the Summer.
Thankyou. I really enjoyed the video and review. I watch tons of car reviews. You really went at it from a different angle. Made it unique and useful for everyday travel. Good luck to you sir. And thanks again. 5 ⭐️s
Thank you and glad you enjoyed! I think a lot of car reviews are rushed since many reviews only have the vehicle for a couple days to a week tops. Not many use it for a month/1000 miles and then get to report their thoughts.
He's my favorite RUclipsr!
Greetings from Upstate. How does your wife like the Jeep? I gotta convince my wife 🤣
She actually likes it better than my other cars. We even did a 9 hour road trip in one of my other videos and she had no complaints!
@@OddlySpecificFilms Nice!
First thing to do with a 2 door jeep is loose the back seat 🤔 if you have any idea of more than 1 passenger buy the 4 door
Can we get a Tyler PS4 Gaming set up vid
Highly interested in this
It’s one of the set ups you’ll ever see.
Correction for myself in the video: The gas that I get at my usual station is 93, but when I’m just commuting around and not beating on the car 91 is fine, especially since the station we started at was considerably more expensive.
Very comforting to know regardless of the elements you clearly now have something that is more than capable.
Some one never did their due diligence ,when it comes to the 2018 and up manual Jeeps .
Well researched
@OddlySpecificFilms by the Stelantis pr department.?
@ Not sure what specifically you are talking about, clutch recalls? I mention it in detail for about 7 minutes all things related to clutch recalls and the Aisin transmission itself while also referring to what the competitors are offering. Also citing user/owner experiences alongside official TSB's.
@OddlySpecificFilms how can someone endorse an off road Jeep . That makes it so you have to slip the clutch to operate it. And then forces the owner to not slip the clutch.?
@@rodgood That's how clutches work, they slip so they can deliver power smoothly to the drivetrain. If it had no slip it'd be an on/off switch like a ceramic disc setup and be miserable to drive as a daily driver. If you're talking about the overheat warning causing it to go into limp mode it does look like that's been fixed from the aforementioned recalls.
I miss my 07 Sahara 2doors manual v6. Looking to sell my challenger 2016 392 SRT manual.
Nice 392! I had a 2021 392 manual and really enjoyed it. I ended up being able to get the Jeep and actually paying less monthly thanks to the equity I had in the old car, so 4 years newer and cheaper was worth it to me, plus insurance is much nicer. They are both great cars and I am happy I am getting to enjoy having a 4x4. Really can’t go wrong between a muscle car or an off roader if you like both of them! Also if you haven’t driven a JL it might surprise you how good they drive compared to TJs and JKs. Really nice all around.
Almost forgot to mention with a Jeep not being a target from Police (tickets) or car thieves is a huge plus on piece of mind
@@OddlySpecificFilms cool. My life style has changed. So a jeep would be a safer way for me to go back to. I would rather go 2doors but the 4doors would be smarter. I could easily put my 2 3D printer in the back, remove the back seat and set up a small bed in there for long travels. Will miss the challenger for sure. They are fun to drive.
@@OddlySpecificFilms yes for sure. I often have them following me around hoping that I slip up.
Thanks for the video I am south of Atlanta we are suppose to get snow Tuesday kinda rare I need a Jeep!!
Glad you enjoyed it. If there are some places to go off roading down by you I sure would pick up a Jeep. Roof off cruising in the hot Georgia sun sounds pretty good right now.
I have BFG's on my Willys manual and in 4" of snow last week it did great. Looks like the stock M/T's are working good also.
@@jamesedward5355 The MTs are doing good for sure. Can't complain much after feeling how they did in this video.
Hi. Great video. Hey how is the rev hang in your 2025, when you drive at low speed in a parking lot? I’ve been driving manuals for years (I have a 2004 manual TJ) and the 2023 manual 2 door JL I test drove I kept bucking it in the parking lot because the rev hang. Maybe the 2025s rev hang are fine now at low speed?
I haven’t really noticed it much unless I’m over about 4,000 RPM and shifting 1st - 2nd.
Thank you
I recently picked up a 24 Willys Gladiator, love it. I'm putting on a matching black hard an ARE CX Classic camper shell for five feet of inclosed storage for all my camping gear. Mine came with Firestone Destination Mud Terrain tires which I really like, 3.73 gears with the 8 speed auto, Dana 44 axles and a Locking rear differential. Heated seats and steering wheel, Aux switches. Love the 12 inch big screen that blue tooth connects for music and navigation.
@@jamesdumas6602 The camper setups are super cool!
Thank you
You're welcome
At 500 miles on the odo, the jeep is definitely still breaking in. Try again at 2500 miles. You might actually crack 25 mpg. To me it looks like you did everything right as far as the calc. You just have to do longer journeys to get more accurate results.
There's no Jeep in my life because it's just too oddly specific.
In my opinion, where else you you buy something that can go through 30" of water, have a full roll bar, and can remove the doors and top?
@@AStanton1966 True. But those requirements are....oddly specific.
The Jeep is nice, 2 door hardtop is the one. The Willys (pronounced Willis, like the old Willys Jeeps) is the value Wrangler trim. A rear locker, good tires with higher fenders, led headlights and other equipment.
It's a really nice looking Jeep.
Is the grill mat black or gloss black?
The outer ring is glossy but the center looks matte to me.
@OddlySpecificFilms okay, that's what I thought I was seeing. It looks good. Thanks for the reply. Also, I appreciate your review of the manual transmission. I've been on the fence regarding getting the manual after reading about the issues some are having with the clutch.
@@skiptheroad Happy to help! I'd say go for it, who knows how long you'll be able to buy a manual 4x4 and even if you don't get much life out of the clutch a full clutch job would still be less than or close to the $2500 extra Jeep charges for the 8 speed auto.
Great video and review thanks for posting.
Thank you!
Trying to make my mind up right now. Wrangler Rubicon X. 2-door, 4-door. 6-speed manual transmission. Had a 2-door Rubicon Hardrock, 2017. 6-speed manual transmission. And had Gladiator Mojave with manual transmission. Was going back to an automatic. But can't get the 3.6 and the automatic with the trim pkg that I want. But, if I do go this route I'm going with the 4.88 gears. Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Can’t go wrong either way, they are all awesome vehicles. I’d lean towards the manual since who knows how long we’ll be able to get them.
@OddlySpecificFilms I just subscribed so I'll comment which way I go.
Great review! I have a 2024 & just noticed my 3rd brake light is off-centered. Is yours too? Wondering if this is normal?
Mine looks pretty straight to me, maybe yours got shifted or bumped into??
@ Hi , I don’t think it’s been hit ( I hope not) When sitting in the drivers seat, looking back is your in the middle of the back window? Wish I could post a picture 😸
Great review. If I didn't need to put a mtn bike in the back I would also get a two door.
Bikes would definatley fit better in a 4 door!
