CRETE's South Coast by DRONE
Most visitors of Crete stick to the crowded and touristy north coast. I get why. The South coast, however, is full of hidden, unvisited gems: rugged cliffs, authentic fishing villages, amazing empty beaches, plenty of trekking options, jaw-dropping creeks and gorges that look like a film set. Access to these dreamlike sights can be half as easy as in the well developped north ...but ... the fun here is infinite times higher.

This military complex was used by the Nazis and the Soviets and then as a film set for various blockbuster movies. It is a lost place that will soon be demolished. Thank you, this felt incredibly educational and I'm from Slovenia! If you're ever in the neighborhood again, I would recommend Žužemberk castle as one of the best castles...and while you're there, you can just follow the Krka river and you will discover completely non touristsy places
