How to change your digital mode on your pi-star hotspot!
Just a quick video on how to change your digital modes quickly on your pi-star hotspot.
In the video I mentioned that I would get into why you shouldn't activate all the modes at the same time, and well, I forgot. The reason you shouldn't do this is because of congestion. Say you have DMR & P25 activated, and you are in the middle of a QSO on DMR, and you un-key your radio to wait for a reply from the other station in the QSO, and all of a sudden someone in the world decided to key up on P25 on whatever server you have activated, and starts their own QSO. Well guess what, you're not going to hear the reply on DMR because these hotspot's can only TX/RX one digital mode, at a time. So, in th...

God your my savior
Where can you get this free ?
To hard for me one on one is better maybe in person
Hello. Are you a Wisconsin ham using FM38? 🤔
😃i love this vid it is done very well
I HATE THIS SOFTWARE!!! YOU CAN NOT COPY A BUNCH OF CHANNELS AND ADD THEM TO A SECOND FILE OR A SECOND INSTANCE OF THIS D878UV PROGRAM . WHO THE HELL WROTE THIS ?? and yes thank you for helping us newbies out but man it just sucks.
You can..... kind of. What I did was export them from the original and then imported them into the next list. It's not as easy as copy and paste, but it is a decent workaround.
Unfortunately, you missed the part that has me baffled. What do you do if you have a list of channels that you want to program that are not part of a talk group? For instance, there are 4 DMR repeaters in my area. I program the 4 into the radio, but there is no "group" for them. Also, there is no receive group because there is no tx group.
I am also baffled.....programming repeaters you don't need talkgrougs....UMMMM!
@@charlesmiggins2595 I figured it out. I created a talkgroup, "Local Analog". I put all of my local analog repeaters in it. I did the same for, VHF Simplex and UHF simplex. I don't use receive groups on mine, whatsoever.

Have you the link for that software ?
