Saw it last night in the Magic Johnson theater I was so sad it was only myself and one other person in the entire theater. This movie was beautiful and real. I wish we would support films like this- especially within Black communities. The message is resounding., Why do we support so much crap but no one shows up for films about Black characters by Black peoples like this??

I thought it was a good film for exposing important influences in Trump's development and who he is today. As influential as Trump's father was, Trump himself ended up being more like Roy Cohn, who was willing to do anything to win, teaching Trump that there is no truth, and there is no right or wrong.

I know this was a horror film but that’s not the lens through which I watched Little Bites. The idea that I saw well represented was the depression and isolation experienced by survivors of trauma in general, and the added anxiety of parenting through that. Every parent struggles with how much is too much for their children, but those with hurts of their own often tend to coddle their kids, instead of healthily navigating their emotional development. And it’s when Mindy realizes that her daughter might be stronger and more resilient than she had considered, that she finally learns to manage the trauma, depression, isolation. I mean… did I expect them to literally devour their demons like that? Not really, no! But this movie really got me thinking about the power of communication and transparency in breaking the cycle of all forms of grief, abuse and generational trauma. Sorry for going on like that but it was an especially timely film for me and this is what I honestly took from it (at least what I could articulate).

It was his wealth. Megalopolis is great. It's different. It's offbeat. It's most definitely unconventional in its presentation and delivery. It possesses supreme visuals. Some call it a mess and say it's unbalanced. It is, in fact, a beautiful mess and is perfectly unbalanced. It's a Francis Ford Coppola masterpiece.

@ttrestle It wasn't a waste at all. Mr. Coppola fulfilled a 40 year old dream. The man is 85 years old. What does money mean to him? He is an artist. He financed his art and is happy with his finished product. I could see how someone with a simple mind who thinks money makes one happy wouldn't be able to grasp that concept.

I also feel the movie would have been a bit more interesting if Sue and Elisabeth shared consciousness because why would Sparkle continue submit herself to the substance when she clearly didn't directly benefit from it? That part just didn't make sense or if it was supposed to be inferred I wish the film had done a better job showing us/setting it up.

    • @rayanB-e6c

it is definitely the same counsciounesess/soul which is why there is a bit in the film where elisabeth purposely binge eat a lot of food because she knows it would make sue conscious of her body , the film just doesn't explain why once they wake up in their respective body they don't remember what the other did i think they actually lost the memory only in the switch process which means elisabeth brain is the one enjoying being in sue body

@@rayanB-e6c I can see your point. I took it as Elisabeth just trying to get back at Sue to make her gain weight because of what Sue was doing to Elisabeth. I wonder if the chicken leg was an illusion/delusion because didn’t seem like the camera crew saw what Sue saw. And yes I thought that too that on some level Elisabeth feels good like good dream vibes while in the “off” state. She can’t remember particulars but the feeling. Again the film could have given us little more insight. Unless the point is that we are just to take it at face value 🤷🏻‍♂️ and to assume/ fill in the blanks ourselves

I walked into this film not knowing it was going to be body horror and I loved the first 2/3 of the film LOL. The body horror elements felt appropriate. I was on broad until the last last act and the last 30 minutes. The tonal switch just didn't make sense. Were we as the audience supposed to laugh? (because many did in my theater). It just became absurd. People who love gore will rave about this but it feels like two different movies and out of place. It was disappointing.

As a black man, why is my skin color being used as a shield for terrible writing and mediocre stories. Stop hiding behind "color, gay, etc". If it was a good show, it would have lasted. Instead, we got a lore breaking piece of trash that failed because it was just that. There are plenty of good shows with women leads that I love to this day, but yet because "the gayest Star Wars" flopped, it's everyone elses fault. You people as truly, truly sick.
