this recording of arboretum and below the salt ended up on the live leaves album. such awesome renditions, so happy that theres video footage to those live leaves songs. cant believe it was only 11 days after 9/11. i cant imagine what the energy in the room must have been like. for both the band and the crowd. this video can never be lost

If there was a movie about living in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 in Texas. This version of Below The Salt would be the score to the pivotal scene in a bar with Unwound as the band playing on the stage. This version is so loaded with dread and dystopia and it's hard now to really understand what it was like way back 20 + years ago. But this version encapsulates it perfectly.
