I just got done with a semester abroad in Finland and gotta say, Sibelius and Satie are nack and neck as my fav composers. They both influence my own compositions but for VERY different instrumentation
My favourite is Humphrey Searle (1915-1982), British composer associated with serialism although he also wrote traditional tonal works. Known for his incidental music for the Doctor Who story The Myth Makers and the film scores for The Abominable Snowman (1957) and The Haunting (1963). He wrote 5 symphonies, numerous short orchestral works and an opera, Hamlet. So, what does that tell you about me then?
Strauss is epic
I don't think you've listened to Liszt that much
How about Scarlatti?
No Richard Strauss?
You got me.
My favorite composer Vivaldi is the dreamer who goes for movement, because I see survival mode in Winter and creation mode in Spring. That's nature right here right now 😊
The Tchaikovsky one was NOT what I was expecting
“Perfeccionist”? Really? does nobody know how to spell anymore?
he did that purposefully
>no Vierne
Damn… mine is not like me at all. And that’s definitely not a compliment towards me.
I am a staunch fan and passionate player of Rachmaninoff's music, and his description fits really well to me.
I read somewhere once that the music of Mozart shows us what it is to be human, that of Bach what it is to be God, and that of Beethoven what it is to be Beethoven.
No Orff? I haz a sad.
I watched to get to the part about Schubert & was not disappointed.
Just realized there's no Aaron Copeland! I guess American composers don't rate? 😢 Edit:.you got half of the Tchaikovsky description correct! 😁
No Gershwin or Grofe, either.
IM NOT DEPRESSIVE😭😭😭 well maybe i am
No F. Carulli 😢
Why does Stravinsky look like something from an arg horror game
My favorite is not on here! lol what does that say…….😂 Paganini❤
Scott Joplins mine, try listening to treemonisha!
my heart belongs to Bach, but with all these good songs it was hard to watch just his part, lol
Nailed it on Rimsky-Korsakov.
I have to say I do like Gustav Holst and Dmitry Shostakovich but also Sir Edward Elgar and Scott Joplin. I like a lot of composers.
Did you misspell "perfectionist" on purpose?
berlioz, elgar, handel, mussorgsky respighi rimski-korsakov
Funny😊
Bach is my favorite. the complex counterpoint is so comforting in a world that is too often chaotic.
Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann. Classical form, Romantic substance.
Schubert Chopin and Wagner for me
You think Holst is simple? You should try conducting Mercury.
Vivaldi, and I'm only always on the move if you mean mentally
What liking this video says about you: You like simplified, often misplaced essentialisms; encyclopedias scribbled by toddlers, crayon anatomies…
and you probably have ADHD for not reading the pinned comment 😂
Hiroyuki Sawano: you're a wee Yuki Kajura: you're a cooler weeb
Vivaldi baby ❤️
My favorite, Friedrich Burgmüller, was not on here, but I do like Chopin, and his was very accurate 😂
Bach, the ideal combination of precision and passion (but how did he ever do it with all those kids underfoot?🙂).
my favourite decomposer is Father Time
Where is Paganini?
My favorite composers: Bach and Shostakovich, that makes me a complex and introspective problem-solving perfectionist, however silly these descriptions are, this actually makes sense, as far as I can judge myself...
What? I' m sorry I was looking at the moon.😁🎶🎹🎶Play On
❤ very accurate actually 😅
Bach or Beethoven. The Bach analysis describes me better than the Beethoven one does...so I suppose I'll go with Bach as my answer.
"I'll be Bach"
Scriabin: what if Chopin was on acid 😂
I think that with Elgar you mean English nationalist
i like Mozart not because that i am admiring the pecefulness...i just like die Mozartkugeln
Hot take: if you like any composer after the time of Tchaikovsky youre pretentious, dont actually like classical music and almost certainly insufferably snobbish.
Rachmaninoff: You have a rich inner world and reflect the highs and lows of the human experience. Second is Elgar, but I'm American...
No Albeniz ?!?!?!?!?
