I turned Pro off scratch in 2002 when I was 18, very much on the old handicap system. Not sure what that has to do with pointing out where I see many amateur golfers go wrong on the greens though… 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@andyplestergolf sorry that came out wrong It’s actually good to see another who has explained the basic 3 rules to putting I ment it’s actually common sense what you are explaining I ven now I still don’t use rangefinders, still use basic wedges etc I play off 6 now due to not playing as much It’s just nice to see someone explain the basics

Thank you. 👍🏻 Good question, I would square up to the shot a little bit more (as if you were hitting a full shot) which will reduce the loft slightly creating a lower launch and continue to maintain an aggressive swing. You can reduce the amount of sand also, but this is a more risky move as you have more potential of catching it thin, so i would try the 1st technique to get you started in that situation. 👍🏻

@@andyplestergolf It didn't make much difference yesterday on the range but I kept up the check during setup today and I noticed my strokes, when I did hit the ball properly, were more accurate with very few slices. I''ll be keeping it as part of my setup - got a practice game next week and a proper match the week after. The range inbetween. I'll update after two weeks...
