Taking a break from filming for awhile. I really enjoy riding, and the stopping to film, kinda takes some fun out of it. I started this channel to try something I never had, Film Editing. Thanks to you all who have watched!!!!!!!!!!

20,000 miles! A super fun motorcycle to ride! High Gas Mileage - Low Maintenance!! Since making this video I have tried kick starting the bike with a dead battery in it, and it did kick over. I may have done something stupid the first time, like maybe I didn't have the kill switch off or such. I'm happy to report It does work!!!!!

Well again I'm not able to start the bike with a dead battery!! It did work once, last time. Now, still with the original battery, it won't kick over unless jumped. I probably could push and jump start it but that's not always the easiest solution. I have 31,000 miles, so I think it's time for a new Batt. Please let me know if you run into this!! Thank You!
I’m right up there with you when it comes to enjoying and having fun on my Honda Trail 125 and other more powerful motorcycles. But I’ve never found it necessary to deface the roads, much better to advocate for responsible and safe usage if we want to be respected as motorcycle riders.
I agree with you! I didn't know them at all, and I thought the same about the roadway, it was in a large state forest, Looks like street graffiti to me, in a beautiful place. as you know the honda trail couldn't leave rubber anyways! Happy Trails!
I will be hitting the TAT some day on my 300. Will be in no rush at all. I want to just take my time and enjoy the scenery.
I think that's the first time I've seen the ship that close up. Appreciate this one man! Super cool!
Happy Birthday! Ridin the wheelz of that thang!!! Love it man! I have a very similar rod and reel that goes along with me lately. Did you get a license for each individual state when you did the BDR for fishing? I need to finish up the last of the MABDR and keep heading north sometime too.
Yes I did get each state, most of them I got online, But NH had a problem, so I got a paper one. Also picked up a gold mining permit good for the year anywhere in a National Forrest, was free! Fun Time for sure! I don't have the patience as you do to film a lot, it's a lot more work than it seems.
@camotablet8073 awesome! Oh yeah man, there are times I go for a ride and leave that aggravating camera at home. Over half of the Idaho trip in the Sawtooths the camera was glitching. Some days I just left it at camp and went out without it. Still got enough good footage to share the experience but you are exactly right. It's work!!!
The title absolutely fits the video. When you pulled up to that first water hole, I thought "now there's a place to wet a hook" and then you got the rod out! Love it man! This isn't super far from where the Pilgrims landed is it?
Thanks! I fish way too much, Retired early. Yes it is in Plymouth, Ma. I have a video of visiting the Mayflower on my channel, old and maybe a little boring for some. Funny thing is I am a 14th Generation of the actual Pilgrims.
@@camotablet8073 I figured it was close!! Now that's super cool! They may have fished some of those very waters! I'll check out the Mayflower one!
Happy belated man! That is a lot of miles, I'm impressed by you and the bike lol.
I have 12k on my CRF250l rally now.
Awesome bike. It's a Honda, it will last a long time.
Just stumbled on your channel, and man can i say i have never seen anyone throw a Trail 125 around quite like you. Just picked up a 2021 Trail a few weeks ago and just rolled over 3400 miles (only 235 of those are mine) Id love to know about that cup holder, what is it, how is it mounted? Can't wait to watch a few more if your videos! Take care, keep her rubber-side down!

Thank for watching!
Why do you prefer CT125 over TW200?
I had an unfortunate accident that left me with many back and neck injuries, so the trail 125 appealed to me for it's size alone. Plus it's just cool. It gave back that ability to get off road again.
Happy B day great video! Good luck on the TAT. You may have a small bike but you have big balls! Ride safe brother...
Thanks! It was great running into you finally!
I'm just getting to 2K as I keep it around town for errands and groceries. I get 115mpg. I use no corn gas. I also use Honda's synthetic oil and a magnetic oil plug.
Same here with the oil. I love the simplicity and dependability of this bike. Thanks and ride safe!
@@camotablet8073 Personally I think synthetic oil for the first 3k is a mistake, let the parts mate and wear in like they're supposed to.
Happy Birthday!!! Enjoyed the video!

Happy birthday! mine is only 5500 miles, happy to see it making it to over 5 times the mileage. Where are you riding?
@@DearSX most of this video is in Myles Standish State Forrest. Thanks! I'm shooting for 100k, maybe.
That is so awesome your Trail hit 30k miles. I got the green 2023 Trail and I love it. My wife enjoyed riding it so much I decided to get her her own. I surprised her with the yellow 2024. These little bikes are just so much fun to ride and that's what it's all about for me. Is that a Massachusetts accent I hear?
@@LarryMullins111 Yes it is a Mass accent. I picked up a small 50cc scooter for my wife, she doesn't know how to shift gears. I can only do little, back road, adventures with her but she loves it. Thanks for commenting!
Happy Birthday! Seems to be going good still at 30k miles.
Thanks
Looks like you rode from home to the BDR. How did you manage that without getting on a highway?
It wasn't so bad. My Zumo GPS is great! Just set it so I avoided the highways. I crossed Rhode Island and Connecticut to NY. took almost a day
Terrific. One suggestion - drop the music. I'd love to hear the sounds of the road.
Yeah I agree! I think I was just trying to be creative.
How do you find your rear end and lower back reacting to the BDR trails? That would be my biggest concern, having never done this.
I took it slow. only did 150 miles in a day. I stopped a lot to fish where ever I could. Took a while to recoup after. I think being alone was the best thing because I didn't have try and keep up with anyone. Saw a lot of riders, zoomed by me, I called them B D Racers
beep beep !
Awesome video. I definitely think the bike is worth it. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thank you! I have certainly enjoyed it
Unfortunately, fucking honda does not bring trail 125 to my country...
It seems trail 125 is as good as goats for camping.
I want to get one just for its simplicity. I'm 62 and I think this is all I want for a motorcycle. I've owned over 30 and just looking for simple.
Exactly why I purchased it. Just simple and fun. I'm over 28,000 miles now, still going great!! You wouldn't regret it as long as you are willing to slow down some. I do fine on all the roads around me except the interstate of course. I've had a lot of bikes too but this one is the most fun. Go for it!!
@camotablet8073 I'm getting to the point where I just like the back roads now. Traffic is getting pretty tricky where I live now.
Bad volume, try harder next time !
Should I get one, on the fence...hmm... Coming from liter bike I wrecked 2 years ago. This just seems to have a certain charm.
I am very glad I did. As long as you know it's limits. It is not fast, but has been the most fun of all the bikes I've ever owned. And I've had a lot.

Cool video. Ride mine in the New Mexico mountains!
Thanks! That is a great place, must be a lot of fun, I can't get enough of mine.
Great video! Thanks for sharing
Thank you for an excellent video. Stay safe young man!
this video has it all XD. Great
Good to see the Massachusetts Madman back on the Trail! I was worried after the infamous Cold Weather Wipeout over the Winter.
Thank You! I had another operation on my back, and feeling great now! It will take a lot more to keep me off that bike.
Cool video man. It was great that you didnt let that little crash slow you down and you were right back to spinning donuts a min later. I got a green 23 on the west coast and I absolutely love the thing. Question for you if you dont mind, how are you pulling off those sick wheelies? I've wheelied on my klr before not too often. Obviously using the hand clutch isnt an option on the ct 125, so id love to know what your technique is with the automatic clutch.Plus any other stuff like what gear your in, do you got bigger sprockets, are you doing a big weight shift ect. When im exploring on my ct i love that its so small and nimble and fun to flick around, being able to throw in a quick wheelie would just make my day!
I do use the clutch. I can only wheelie from a take off. I start by holding the clutch up with my foot then a little throttle and pop the clutch, it took me a little practice. Right now I have a 14/42 combo on the gears. Those dudes on the HDs were Good. These little bikes are soo much fun to ride.
Don't worry I have yet to get it up and im in my thirties!...talking about the bike of course lol. Coincidentally I had already ordered a 42 tooth sprocket and was planning on putting it on before my next trip up to the mendocino coast. One quick point of clairification if thats alright.... are you taking off in first i assume? because second doesnt have enouch power....so its down into neutral, click up into first and hold, rev up a bit and release into first?@@camotablet8073
Riding and fishing... what's not to love. Super peaceful. Looks like a fun place to explore.
great video thanks for taking the time ! i can really appreciate some of your upgrades too the crash bars came in handy and those fog lights were bright AF too. pretty much as bright ( if not brighter ) then the stock headlight. ive dropped mine and messed up my fender and headlight as well as some other stuff... i was thinking about going with the more powerful headlight ( 60w vs 30w ) but its like $300 plus shipping so i have to save for that as well as the proper crash bars ( which im doing now ) i have the cheap ones on there now and they weigh too much so ill prolly do both eventually. i finally got my veerubber 3.0's on but there is a little rubbing so i have 2 options extended lift kit OR i can just lighten the load a bit with a dirt bike like fender they offer on beez. i used to live in wareham for a bit so i used to go down to the NIP every weekend with the bronco with the yamaha 350 in the back and just watch ppl try to cross it :P i havent been to or seen real forest in 30 yrs since i moved to FL... ( its all jungle here ) plus there can be unforseen dangers ( gators, wild hogs, rattle snakes, and esp the bugs ) so ive kept mostly to the streets so far ( at about 1k miles now ) i have to laugh about the tree incident because the first thing i thought of when i saw it was im gettin on that B and you did lol... i didnt expect you to end up in the drink though :)
Thanks KtotheL!! It is such a fun place to ride and there are soo many ponds to fish. If I'm right, the NIP is that large water crossing on the High T Lines, then I've spent some time there, I used to take my blazer through there, it was jacked up with 36" mud tires, all the fog lights and such. And the water would be up to my hood. I don't think I would survive long in Florida, the gators would certainly get me because I spend a lot of time fishing shorelines, and I'm not so quick to move anymore.
@@camotablet8073 yep ive seen many a truck get stuck in it and they have to call the super tow truck ( that guy must <3 his job ! ) gators are everywhere here... you kinda get used to it. ( they have them in almost every park ) they only come and remove them if they eat someones dog ( which has happened ! ) because someone didnt follow the clearly posted park rules and keep the dog leashed except in the dog park area ( which are fenced off ) yeah im not a big fan myself but i didnt know all that stuff when i first got here... we was homeless for a while and didnt even realize the rattling was a warning from the snakes right next to us ! ( you wont even see them dude... ) anyhow many i really all the videos you have done and your gusto. i was in a bad accident some years back so i cant even kick start it or get it up on the center stand ( i did get it once with someone help tho ) its a lovely bike and noones ever gettin mines ! lol it took me 2 yrs to finally find one available ! you will prolly not like some of my upgrades but for me my favorite is my radio ! i just gotta have music... ill be workin on it forever it seems still trying to figure out how to mount the subwoofer tastefully but its pretty loud with just the 4 satellite speakers ( 1000w or 1600 w the sub ) as my ears are ringing right now from a weekend cruise :) thanks again ! im originally from Brockton btw but i have been all over NE so i cant lie im a bit homesick for a long time now. i catch n release to
I think the best thing about these bikes is that you can easily make it your own. I had a career ending accident a few years ago, a van struck me going 35mph while I was working on the roadway. The main reason why I went for a small bike with the step through feature. I push myself to have fun, but still get bored not working. Probly going to hurt myself goofing off. Was just in Brockton, had breakfast at Alexander's. @@KtotheL
@@camotablet8073 sorry to hear your accident. i got hit on my ebike at the edge of the crosswalk @ the bucs stadium ( last place you would ever think it could happen ) by a truck doing 65. almost lost my leg but worse it broke my pelvis in 5 places ( which can never heal ) and they also took out my intestines ( TMI sorry ) that is also a big part of why i wanted it ( although reminiscent of my 78 honda 50 mini bike ) is the light weight aspect ( 260 lb ) i still have outstanding stuff there ! ( so no license 25 yr ) but we push on. thats one of the best parts about being from MA we NEVER EVER EVER give up ! thanks again man im thinkin now ill be fishing somewhere eventually ! :)
Love it, great ending.
i am so glad you give part numbers for this thanks i have been looking for sprockets for this bike other than the stock 39 tooth. 20000 miles is nice i am just over 7000 miles on mine and hope i make it to 20k with no troubles either.
I'm still using the DID X ring chain I put on at 5,000 miles. I'm at 23 k now and I think it's been sounding funny. Best of luck with yours!
@@camotablet8073 alot of chains go bad because people don't oil them right or use the right lube. most people will lube the chain and take off riding. or dont use chain lube. i use lucas chain lube. and i oil my chain when i get done riding for the day. that way it has time to soak in over night. and most bikes i get between 15 and 20k miles out of a chain. and the one i have now i just had to adjust for the first time other than when i had 4 flats in 2 days.
The honda xr150 is a far superior long distance and trail bike than the trail 125. For a rv , camping, apartment living , in rural town the trail 125 is great doesn't take up much space. But longer distance and off road the Xr150 is way better and alot cheaper.
You are probably right. I was looking for a small enough bike I didn't have to swing my leg over due to my back injuries. It just seemed to fit for me. Would like to be on my KLR 650. But this one sure has impressed me!
Do you have personal experience with this or are you just repeating other's beliefs? The XR150L is made in Mexico. That is the nation that makes the worst things ever made. Apparently they just can't do it well. The Fords, RAMs, and GMs that come from there have the worst reliability problems.
What size 241 shinko tires did you try? 2.50 front is the same as the stock size?
I had the 2.50 in front and the 3.00 in back, two sets. No issues with them. I think I'm going back to those next time, the ride is way smoother than the 244s, and the traction off road is good enough.
FYI - the trail 125 will start without a battery. Disconnect the dead battery. Tape over the leads so they don't short. Give it a few good kicks and it will start right up.
I do believe you. it just didn't work for me. I will give it a try next time it's dead again. My jump start pack easily plugs onto my battery tender, so it is quick. And my bad back doesn't want me to kick it anymore! Thank You!!
I thought my 22 ct125 was overpacked when I did the CDT last year, but you win hands down😢. Any idea how much all your gear weighed? Nice job, btw 😊
Not too sure. It was a lot, but I used everything I had. I really enjoyed that trip!!
Best bike review on RUclips!
Thanks!!
Thank you sir. Quiet, peaceful and refreshing. Started my day off well.
Nice ride. I had the 90cc model. It was cool.
Thank you. Small bikes are just a different kind of fun.
What camera are you using and how is it mounted? Also, what video editing software?
It's a Gopro 8 mounted on the handle bar, the software is a free version called Clipchamp.
Did enjoy this style of vlog. Beautiful scenery and times of the day. Subscribed, look forward to more videos.
