I listened to the interview on Fresh Air with Dr. Schwartz so I sort of knew the direction the book was going to go, confronting the assumption that we have freewill. I have now entered this portion of the book and it is simply mind-bending, as Schwartz agrees. Truly great food for thought.

I am a 65 year old carer in the UK, been looking after my disabled Son for 43 years. My caring commitment,s have made it very difficult to exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle for myself. Consequently I have developed chronic venous insufficiency. I wish I could have help but despite having had it diagnosed around 20 years ago i have not been offered any treatment at all. I'm very concerned that it will ultimately affect my caring responsibilities responsibilities to my Son. 😢
