It's interesting how hairstylist always have the most damage.
I don’t find this to always be true. However if you watched the entire video this has been a issue since high school and college way before becoming a hairstylist. By the time I went to hair school the damage was already done

Hello. Another question. I'm really considering this but I need guidance lol. Because I do have hair on my edges, they have just became really thin, do they just poke needles around the hair that's there? I'm just trying to figure out how they avoid the hair that's there since I don't want to be shaved completely.

I am so thankful I found this. I thought I was the only one struggling with this. I have been hiding my edges for 20 years. I don't plan to do another 20. I'm in the NC area so I feel like it's a sign from God. Bless you sis. The video was very informative and unlike the other procedures I've researched, I'm glad you don't have to shave the entire front of your hair.
I struggled for 5 years before getting mine done last year. It’s definitely worth because you can finance it. My alopecia was caused by a stylist who kept putting the relaxer on my edges super early in the process (yes she was doing it on purpose). I learned a lot about the behaviors of jealous people after that. Fortunately, I had the money to pay for the procedure, so it all worked out, but I am more cautious about the people I deal with. No more hood boogers as a rule….
@@KayAnn2121 I do my hair myself because I've had the same experience. Relaxers, tight braids by the Africans. I cannot wait for my consultation next month.

You did such a great job. I love this style and I've been looking for some styles to try to allow me to not manipulate my own hair as much. Please excuse my ignorance but what type of hair did you use, was it human hair?
It was human hair but did not have a name on the pack. It was in a clear bag in the Brazilian section.
How soon after can you silk press or get sew ins again?
Silk press yes HOWEVER it’s recommended not to do ANY tension styles which is why I got a short cut and wore it for a least 6-7 months before trying anything else

This hair didn’t have a name on it. It was just in plastic bags. The store I went to has a “Brazilian” section but it definitely wasn’t top quality hair but perfect for this style
