Hi Hans, I have same car like your and I am searching for same answers. Did you remap your car, what is your experience?

Novak hi there, it was a sublime car. Did 70.000km’s with this car after remapping. No problems at all, the Audi gearboxes from 2010 and up are very good and reliable in my opinion (from the a6 c6 facelift and up). Sold the car anyway for a little upgrade: been driving the same a6 but the 3.0L engine. Remapped stage 2 (211hp -> 360hp and 550nm -> 720). uploaded a video on youtube recently, see my channel if you like :) no issues at all after 110.000 km’s. @@recordmister1766 thanks for fast reply. My car is C6 from 2011 with 100 kw and manual gearbox. I have it almost 5 years and I would like to remap it but I am afraid about reliability. The car has now 250000km on clock, flywheel and clutch replaced 2 years ago on 218000 km.

Novak hi there, since you have a manual gearbox i would’t bother. These engines are perfectly fine (even better) while running with a tune. I saw the bench curves before and after a tune, even when u don’t use full throttle, the car runs much more healthier. Just make sure you drop the clutch before flooring it and should last a long time. Would have considered an upgraded clutch pack when swapping these out though. Would have cost the same amount of money at third party mechanic as original ones, and have an even more torque rate. But you will be fine with stock clutch. Drove an mondeo before (115hp -> around 155hp) clutch lasted for more than 150.000km’s chipped. I Just didn’t floor it in 1st but further than that.. then that.. i must admit i mostly drove like a crazy one :D flooring it all day long, no problems. Where are you located? I know a very good tuner in Belgium.. they even dyno the car and look for errors before chipping. To make shure the car (mechanically) is in good shape. Ps: my 3.0 heavy tuned a6 has got a tune on 90.000km’s, at 220.000km’s went to stage 2 and now 240.000km’s without any problems

@@recordmister1766 Thank you very much for so detailed answer. I am from Montenegro. In my country there are 2 tuners with dyno. One is ATM ( representative from ATM Holland) and other is Asferrari. Asferrari is present in my country for long time, they are working with some company from Italy and they are even selling tuning equipment and make courses for it. I will think about which company I will choose as both have good reputation. One more question, once per year I am going to Hamburg, Germany. It is trip of 2000km in one direction and per one day I am passing 1200km with 2/3 small pauses. So, the car is working hard all day, next day , in Germany autobahn I am pushing car very hard, mostly cruise control set on 180 km/h, will there will be any problem with driving like that for hours when the engine is tuned?
