Great tips! I'd say I'm an intermediate crocheter, but I learned, too! I often keep my stitch marker in place (i.e., every 5 rounds) for counting rows. I'm paranoid that if forget to use any marker, and then mis-count. @cillacrochets, I Need the penguin pattern! ❤ ... edited, found & purchased the pattern from Ravelry!😊

Thank you! It's a combination of single and double Crochets along with chains (a variation of the shell st). The pattern is 'Shell Stitch Scarf" by Rhian Drinkwater from Issue 145 of Inside Crochet. 😊💖
ive heard so good of the clover amour hooks, are they worth it? i just feel like they're too expensive
As someone who Crochets a lot, I think they are worth it. But if you're just starting out or don't crochet that regularly, you can do with other less expensive hooks no problem. Definitely not an essential but they are a nice to have.
@@cillacrochets ive been crocheting for around 6 months with some 1$ ones but idk how small they make them
@@Helena-z4p they do make them in quite a wide variety of sizes. Maybe just buy one of the size you use most often to try it out? But also no massive need or rush if you're happy with your current hooks 😊

It's James C Brett Flutterby Chunky. I got mine from Hobbycraft, but I know you can find it on Lovecrafts and various other online retailers too. Hope that helps :)

My first amigurumis flipped wrong side out and I didn't know it. Great advice on how to tell if it's right side out or not. I love the magic ring and agree with you it is very helpful. The invisible decrease helped me a lot with preventing holes, also yarning under. There was a lot of trial and error and constant learning and searching when I started amigurumi. Videos like this are so helpful!

@@cillacrochets My first ami 's were little pocket kitties I followed a jayda in stitches tutorial to make. I gave them all to our neices. I just learned they are now bathtub toys. Which I found hilarious. Amigurumi bathtub toys was something I had never imagined happening. Thanks for asking 🙂 ☺

I love yarn under for amigurumi! I don't have to have such tight tension, so it saves my hands. I don't get holes anymore. It looks nice too. Your amigurumi are so cute! Have a great day ❤

Awe, l am from Scotland but when l was 21 l lived in Canada (cold there too) for 2 years then back to Glasgow for 6 months then moved to England to team up with my Sister. I have been in Nottm since l was 23 and still here. 🤣🤣. I'm looking to move again but in sunnier climates in Portugal. This is my plan. I love crocheting which l once did when l was about 19 but then never did much then but now we have YT l have re-established it about the same time you did. I hope you like the beautiful Isles in Scotland. Thanks for sharing your channel.😊❤

Funny how you pronounce "Cheapies" for Scheepjes, from the Netherlands. And if you are not in USA, which size is H in mm?
😂 Now I'm embarrassed! 🙈 I have no idea how 'Scheepjes' is meant to be pronounced but I do normally just say "Sheepies" 🐑 I did just Google translate it though and learned that it means 'ships' and it's pronounced very differently to what I've been saying! 😂 Whoops. How do you say it? And does the word mean 'ships' to you? And a H hook is 5mm. ❤️

I mostly use solid colors sport weight, but only because it's hard to find variegated yarns of that weight. I like the look of the Stone Washed for bears and bunnies, and I know they have it in #2, so I might have to give it a go.
To be honest, I normally stick to solid colours too. However, I do think the variegated yarns look so pretty. If you do give them a go, I'd love to know how you find them 😊❤️
