I got wanderlust branded deeper than the bone

A Brute Force and an Outlander playing in the snow!
A friend and I got some throttle therapy on a local highway that turns into a snowmobile/atv trail in winter.
This winter has not seen a lot of snow, and as such, they have only been able to groom this trail once about two weeks ago. It snowed a couple times since, and the powder on top makes for some really good roosts!
The groomer was scheduled to hit this road later that night.

2024 rides in review part one (Jan-May)

I visited some AWESOME places this year! Check them out!
A ride around Alexander Lake, Uintas, UT, on my Brute Force, Nov 2024
Просмотров 1162 месяца назад
A quick ride around the lake in some mud, snow, and rock! I was hoping for all snow, but it was still a fun ride. Came to a fallen, burned tree across the road at the end. This was my second ride with my new Powermadd Sentinel handguards. I really like them. Between them and my Tusk heated hand grips, my fingers never get cold.
Duchesne Tunnel and Waterfall, Uintas, Nov 2024

Just a quick video of the area from the tunnel diversion up to the waterfall. I was hoping for a foot of snow up here, but there was none in the road the last 3 miles in.
A quick rip up Left Hand Collet Canyon, 50 mile Mountain, UT Oct 2024

A quick paced ride up a fairly remote canyon that cuts through the middle of Fifty Mile Mountain south of Escalante, UT.

This is one of my favorite rides inside Kane County and the GSNM. I start at the top near the Cottonwood Spring and go down to the junction with Smoky Hollow.
Going up the Kelly Grade in Grand Staircase Mon, UT Oct 2024

This is one of my favorite roads in Utah. It's got a ton of curves, and my solid rear axle Prairie loves drifting around them (when safe of course)! This road reminds me of Moqui dugway in San Juan County but without all the traffic. Only once in 21 years of riding this trail have I encountered someone else in a vehicle using it!
A quick rip on Norway Flat, Uinta Mountains 9-25-24

Decided to head back up to where my cv boot ripped off a couple weeks earlier so I could finish my exploration, and do a hike I've wanted to do for about 10 years. I hiked up to Big Elk Lake, and it was awesome. The colors were in the prime during this week, and I didn't see a single person on my entire hike. As for the ride, thankfully, nothing went wrong and it couldn't have been a more perfe...
Wolverine 50" Trail, Uinta Mountains October 6, 2024
Просмотров 1243 месяца назад
I took advantage of the warmest October days in recorded history and headed to the high country to ride a great 50" trail on my Kawasaki Brute Force. This trail was my last trail to ride to complete every atv legal trail in the the western Uinta Mountains. I have now ridden them all on that side and now I am moving on to the north slope side. I have done the east and south already.
Brute Force 750 ground clearance an issue?

The numbers may not be class leading, but I think they are adequate. And ground clearance comes with a hefty price.....

A snowy ride on the Arapeen Skyline June 14, 2024
Просмотров 936 месяцев назад
This is the section of the Skyline above Ephraim Canyon. I thought I'd see how far up I could go expecting not to even get onto the main road. But there was a snow removal crew busting through the last snowbanks, and I was able to follow them a little while. I've never seen snow removal done on the Skyline before. Usually, we just have to wait until July to ride up there.
Arapeen trail 44 (black diamond) UATVA June 2024
Просмотров 2017 месяцев назад
This is a great connector trail that links Fred's Flat to the Skyline Drive near the radio towers at the top of Ephraim Canyon. It is quite steep and has just enough rocks and roots in the trail to keep your attention. At the top, it goes through a very pretty meadow and parallels a creek.

Great edit Jim! Gotta say, I think this is the fastest I've seen you go on the trail.
@@LivinUTOutdoors Lol! I'm very careful about coming around blind corners, but I didn't have to be on this day! Thanks for watching!
Heck yeah! It was great seeing you guys. Dave was gettin' crazy! LOL. Gald he kept it between the navigational beacons.....most of the time hahaha. Fun stuff.
@@LivinUTOutdoors Thanks for stopping and saying hi! Yeah, Dave and I were having a blast, especially when we got over to the powder on the Sundance side!😆
The driver of that outlander must've said theres no tomorrow. Lol dude's having the best time of his life.
Looks like fun…. The Alpine Loop, possibly? Very cool.
You got it! It is!
Heck Yeah! Lots of snow
Not much snow for the groomer to work with, that's for sure.
Nicely done. Really great man.
Glad you liked it!
Great year of riding!
Thanks Jim, you inspire me !!!
The east Kaiparowits looks like a interesting place to ride.
@@IBRich62 One of my favorites!
That's beautiful!! Sorry to hear about the issues you had.
@@FullsendOffroad Thank you. I'm glad they're all fixed now! Who would've guessed bugs in a gas tank??🥴
@utahwanderlust700 definitley not me!!
Inspiring me to get out on the Outlander a lot more this year!
Going to have to come to Utah and ride.
@@IBRich62 If you do, let me know. I'll show you around.
@@utahwanderlust700 Will do.
Has anyone made it to the end where the road makes it to the water?
Only by foot. The last couple miles of the road are severely washed out, and the BLM won't let San Juan County road crews fix them.😢
Thanks for the review! 👍
Thanks for watching!
its almost like big hawse wants to sell you an expensive product you dont need. lol.
Well it's a start to snow riding kinda. Sure it won't be long and there will be plenty to play on.
@@IBRich62 I hope so! Thanks for watching as always!👍
Well, you found some snow. I need to come visit Utah
My buddy has a Brute Force and I took a test ride for the first time yesterday. I'm a Grizzly and Kingquad owner. I'm impressed!!!
Love it up there.
That high on a warm summer night. Night ride for sure.
I have never been on that side of the mtn. But after watching your video. It is at the top of my 2025 ride list.
What is the elevation here at the top?
@@helmssugarshackmapleproduc3216 5600'
Cool canyon to ride in. But maybe not when it's raining.
How many miles is the trail?
@@IBRich62 I think it's about 15-20 miles.
Nice cruise through the canyon. Too bad the fall didn't have some water.
A great view of the valley is a good payoff.
I dream about a ride like that……and Judas Priest too!
Wouldn't want to miss a corner. Be a long way down to the bottom.
@@IBRich62 Definitely! Thanks for watching!
Another cool area I need to get down to! Looks like a really well maintained road for some decent speed! 👍
@@UtahOutlander The Kane county road grader operator was just in here working on it and we talked to him on his way out Friday afternoon.
I need to ride this before the snow starts to fly
it looks a lot like the north fork of the Provo.
I would love to ride this trail. Do you mind sharing the trail number? Is this at the top of Casto Canyon (north end)?
@@inlovewithutahoutdoors7826 It starts right by the Coyote Hollow equestrian campground just of hwy 12. My map says it's FS 30647, but I'm pretty sure the actual Fremont ATV trail sign said it was the #01.
Many thanks.
awesome trail ride! thanks for posting!
Nice trail ride. Haven't been there in years.
With all that moisture around, I would be keeping an eye open for wild mushrooms. Looks like a great trail
Thanks for the video. 👍
Agreed-what an awesome trail..a few pucker-moments like that climb at 17:20. The Brute sounds like she's running good.
@@nmkawierider Running great! I think the bugs in the fuel are all dead, thank goodness!👍
Congrats on completing the Trail system.
Where is this at?
@@rickdraper2600 Northeastern Utah.
I need to ride this trail
That awesome. I didn’t know you can ride at a up there in the winter I thought it was just snowmobiles. I’ll have to take mine up there this winter.
@@rickdraper2600 In Utah, an ATV is considered a snowmobile if it meets certain criteria such as less than 800 pounds, 12" wheels or smaller, tires inflated no more than ten psi, etc. FS descriptions are different so they don't recognize ATVs as snowmobiles, so you have to ride state routes only. Mirror Lake is one of those. So is the Alpine Loop.
Beautiful Aspen trees. It looks like Idaho ?
I always wondered why they sell that enzyme fuel system cleaner
I just pulled the trigger on a 24 i pick it up in one week i hope it lasts 🙏 😅 im a canam guy but for 12500 u cant beat that for what u get !
the 2023's are on sale $9999
In canada?
Yep, SRA is way more stable
I know this is an old thread, but damn man! Thats one of the most awesome Prairies i’ve ever seen! With the mods you did and the condition its in and the look it has, you just might have the “near perfect” sport-ute….. If you still have it….
@@DarikLayman Thanks man!! Much appreciated. Yep, I still have it and it still goes like a brand new machine!👍
I have a 2018 2021 and 2023 bf750 and I also have a prairies 700 and bf650 SRA. Bulletproof machines. I have the vfj tune and Elka stage 3 shocks on each 750. If you haven’t done either of those, I strongly encourage you to do so. The difference in suspension handling was night and day
@@craigswanson7478 That's my next two upgrades!
Honestly the best solution is bigger tires. Sure it will slow you down a bit but you can't complain about a lack of power from that 750 twin. Even then my 1988 Yamaha Moto4 does fine in most places with very low ground clearance, even on rocks. It's just the stiff ride.
Do you run non-ethanol?
@@DoubleADay Yes, only.
Awesome color
@@DoubleADay Thanks man!👍
I just bought my Brute back in November and I immediately threw on some 27 cryptid on 14's and put 27" interco reptiles on the stock rims. I haven't ridden it a lot yet but it's good so far
