Omg i would LOVE to gush about Thrim if you don't mind lol (Although his backstory has mostly existed in my head, so it may be a little jank) - Thrimkin is based off a flower chafer beetle (torynorrhina flammea) and used to live in a hollowed out mountain called the "Mound" - He was in...some sort of job (I haven't fleshed it out yet lol) and worked closely with the boss there, who he was in a toxic/abusive relationship with (they're the one referred to as "my love") -He eventually escaped the Mound and the Boss, but he firmly/subconsciously believed the only way he was useful or wanted was to be used(in any way, as a weapon/tool/plaything/ etc. He believed his only value was in his body). As a result/coping mechanism(is that the right word?) he's hypersexual. Though it mostly remains as just constant thoughts of that nature, he occasionally acts on it, like if he needs some place to stay for example. -He then, after a while of roaming through the woods on his own, met a small makeshift family(who later turn into his friends and help him realize that, no you actually DO have value outside of your body, and you DO deserve to be listened to and respected) TL;DR: This bug needs a hug. Uhh anyways, thats the basics, though I would be *more* than happy to answer any questions/specifics you may have! (Also I would love to hear about your oc too:D)

YELLS!!) honestly ive considered doing an animatic of my own bug for a long, long time now. but ive never had the COMMITMENT or the art juice to do so... one day :( you're so powerful for doing what i CANT /lh but essentially; he's a space bug. lil alien man. he's 'destined for greatness' per his species' judgement and was raised to take over the leadership of his planet one day. which he did not Want. his culture is violent and aggressive, wanting to drive any other being extinct so they are the one on top, something my lil bug -- his name is Pea -- was made to comply with as part of his training. he becomes a great scientist, leads the main science division of the planet, specializing in chemical warfare and in general; toxicology and.... finally has enough. after over 200 years he snaps and flees the planet to a hostile galaxy hostile as in; everyone hates his species, and frankly; fair enough. he gets by with prostitution and petty theft, survives with drugs, alcohol and flings and craves the gentle touch of affection and love that he had been starved of for over 200 years (his species is long living if you couldnt guess LMAOO) so he, too, thinks he can only get this through his body and forms an addiction to sex and in general; hypersexual. but along the way he makes friends one by one! all of whom being others of his species who similarly are dispirited by their own species' morals and aspirations and they form a found family <3 albeit a very troubled and sometimes toxic one as they are ALL dealing with troubles and often over-rely on eachother its only until pea finds and adopts an abandoned child left for dead that he REALLY begin improving (at this point being over 400 years old) and, well. lets be frank: pea relied on prostitution and theft to make money, though now vowing to drop these things in order to give his newfound child a better environment to live in: he's going to need some help. so his friends all chip in to help raise the child, all of them together, as a family. and that, too, is when his friends also begin improving. essentially this child was a pivotal turning point for all of them :D OKAY IM STOPPING HERE BECAUSE I REALIZED I ABSOLUTELY WENT OFF LMAOOOO this lil bug man has been a blorbo ive been rapidly spinning around in my head for YEARS. i have SO MUCH LORE and world building and ect for this mans and his family....... BUT IM ACTUALLY REALLY TOUCHED AND HONORED YOU WERE INTERESTED IN HEARING ABOUT HIM!!! it makes me unspeakably happy to have someone interested AND to have the possibility to ramble abt him :DDD

(Also don't worry about the late reply, its no big deal lol I understand) Literally I was so excited to be able to read about him Alrigjt, first first first of all, I just wanna say that WOW. You're buggy boy is SO MUCH MORE THOUFHT OUT THAN MINE LMAO. Seriously, I would LOVE if you made any sort of thing with him or his world, it all just sounds so intriguing! I NEED MORE!!!/lh. Hell if you wanted I could try to help you with making some animations!(though fair warning I am no profesional and am incredibly awkward) Uhhh i have to be honest that I haven't thought much about what the Mound is like lol. But I imagine that, despite it being a literal mountain sized village, everyone in it is closeknit and like knows everyone. Like how everyone knows each other in those small towns, idk-. And Thrim holds(well, held) himself and his abilities highly, so when everyone else started to see that maybe he'd gotten his position by sleeping his way to the top(even if he didn't know/believe it at the time), it all spread like wildfire. Leaving him constantly surrounded with people angry at him, teasing him, or people who are just uncomfortable being around him because how could someone who was always so brutally honest just not tell us something like that? What else is he hiding? So he got out of there, escaping both the suffocating residents/atmosphere of the Mound and the Boss. Where he met his newfound family!(yayy these guys are even less fleshed out lol) Okay, we have Za'nir (name pending) and Kalinn, a father and son, respectively, who are both vulture/human things. An avian if you will. They've both traveled around this desolate land, relying only on eachother practcally since Kalinn hatched. They both run into Mudin, (Mood-in), a moose/human thing. A furry if you will. He...does not yet have any backstory, other than being a lonely wanderer lmao(over the course of their time together, Mudin and Za'nir slowly fall in love, much to Kalinns dismay as he fears he's losing his father) Anyways, Thrim meets them when Za'nir and Mudin are in the denial stages, all three traveling together out of the tiny (above ground- cuz yknow, no other bugs out here) village he's in, and agrees to travel with them as he gets run out of town. And, much like my boy Pea (he's mine now, I've stolen him /j), with the help of his friends/family Thrim comes to the realization that he can be close to or even friends with people without them wanting anything from him. And also funnily enough, Thrim sort of adopts Kalinn lol. He feels the most comfortable around Kalinn right out of the bag because he knows that at least the kid will treat him as a person. Wow, I was YAPPING. Basically, Thrim gains a son and two friends to help him co-parent. This stupid little blue bug has been stuck in my head ever since he's crawled in there, so I'm also very excited to be sharing more things about him lolol.
