Dont stay this hotel it is not secure. Someone entered our room and stole not just money ids, car keys and some of other items. And the time is 7.52 which means shift time. They dont have camera also doors couldn’t be close itself i will write more details…

Have you been to cabo waldorf? Usually not one for waldorfs but that one was nice. Chicago one cool not been though.

You should check out hyatt carmel valley ranch. Imo it’s like lost pines but a step up without as many kid friendly amenities, more for middle age.

This course reminds me a lot of the old course for the Heartland Half except mostly in reverse. I'm guessing April was a much nicer time to run it than September. BTW I love the premise of your channel. I am doing the same thing to a degree in that as much as I can use points from my travels I do in order to keep the races flowing. Finished #40 earlier this month. I'm hoping to see some of yours overlap mine and a fresh perspective on races I may have done many years ago. Race safe and great luck!

I'm glad you mentioned the noise, which would make this property a pass, for some. Nearby Chicago Ave is an ambulance feeder route to the three hospitals that flank the east end of the street, towards Lake Shore Drive. In addition to the fire substation that you mentioned, there can be siren noise every 10 minutes. I lived nearby for nine years, and in that time, the neighbourhood became grossly overbuilt, which resulted in a canyon effect, in which every sound reverberated off the high-rise buildings. When I moved out, I moved closer to the lake, and you would be surprised by how much the noise level diminishes in just a few blocks further east.

Spacious, but the room couldn’t be more bland and generic. 😩. However, considering how expensive hotels in the West End area are the prices here are more reasonable and the location is good. 😁

Thank you for the video. I was there Sept.'23 for 5 nights. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel is that my room was dark, like painted black esp the walls. Also, you forgot to feature the steam sauna and the massages they offer, but that's probably a discretionary move. Pubs, bars, restaurant, a famous market and a mini Mart are all a short walk.

Just noting at 2:07 you cross over on that bridge into Newport, KY before crossing into Covington, KY over another bridge about 3/4 of a mile later. But hope you enjoyed the race.

We stayed here last year and I really appreciate the minimalist feeling. We stayed in the andaz suite. Yours looks different. We stayed in the corner suite.

when i look on expedia or the hilton website they have a tub/shower combo but your room had a tub in the bedroom , how did you get that paticular suite?

I've run this Marathon twice and still my favorite Marathon!

I'm surprised how unfinished the rooms look. I'm used to the Andaz having more local flair. This this one feels almost lifeless.

May I ask you, is it legal to run marathon completely naked just wearing shoes and cowboy hat?

Great video, awesome job, and beautiful medal! Wow, 17 miles with that elephant hat; I wouldn't have lasted 1 mile! Maybe there's a lapel pin or something smaller that a supporting runner could have worn the whole race! Well done, and that really wasn't "ugly crying" at the end, it was more of understandably weeping tears of joy! I salute you and your charity. P.S. - Saucony Endorphin's were my favorite sneaker, until I met the Hoka Bondi 8! Just sayin'!
