My way of beating the E74 / E71 Red Light
Просмотров 19 тыс.14 лет назад
Was trying to get my editing machine back up to scratch, and noticed that the spare Xbox 360 was throwing glitches again. So I do what I always do in these situations. Throw it in the oven. Music is by FantomenK, and the song is called Glitched Out. Its pretty awesome, and you can download it right here: 8bc.org/music/FantomenK/Glitched Out/

Dark Master is such an early 2000s username, and I love it. It's funny how cringe eventually turns into nostalgia.

I miss when it was racial slurs and saying someone was gay because half of us didn’t take it seriously. Now it’s just saying somebody’s address out loud and watching them disconnect. Instead of yelling Xbox turn off because you could hear their gameplay because of the Kinect and then it boots them.

15 years later Back then trash talk was just part of growing up, we had tools to just silence and understand to walk away. But now, we are spied on and if we step even remotely out of line, even if the spies just feel like we did with gamers can be arrested and have thier lively hood ruined, just beacuse entitled egotistical morons don't feel simply muting and walking away is enough.

I occasionally come back to this video from time to time since it's no only an interesting way to see how much Xbox Live & by extension Online Multiplayer has changed over the years but because it's a 2004 time capsule too. If you slow down the spinning, fast-paced footage at 1:34, you can see that the fish eye lens B-roll was shot inside an EBGames. Considering that EBGames, GameStop/Babbages & Barnes & Noble were all under the same company at this time, I suspect this was one of those giant EBGames next to a Barnes & Noble. I know this since one of my friends grew up in a town that had one of these combination Gamestop/Barnes & Nobles when they were young & it looks exactly as he described it from the time he went to it for the Midnight Launch of the Nintendo DSi (which was a few years after 2004 but still new at that time). It's sad that after GameStop & Barnes & Noble split, both companies faced financial hardship & as a result, the store my friend went to doesn't exist anymore. Same goes for EBgames since that's mostly used as the name of GameStop locations in places like Canada & Australia now.

They should've had Dark Master introduce the MN-740 Xbox wireless-g adapter in 2003 when it came out then so that more people could've known about Wi-Fi connection between the console and the router earlier on and invest in one in case you had the console in a room beyond the reach of a router.

This brings back memories. I was 8/9 and I didn’t understand computers or how to connect to the internet with my Xbox and I just remember thinking how it was such an impossible task to get online because I didn’t actually understand what any of the terms meant and just guessed how to fix things when the configuration didn’t work. Eventually I just gave up on it. It was only until I was a bit older and the Xbox 360 came out that I finally understood how to get online and enjoy sweet online gaming.
