Just terrible,, yoko got all the money
Interesting :)
I hope y'all will reply to this this was 5 days after I walked across the stage and got my high school diploma
Hyman made nuclear subs great again. God rest his soul.
Morgan Freeman did an excellent job portraying him in the movie Lean on Me
This is what the inner city school person needs as a principal r.i.p the Great Joe Clark
I never liked steinbrenner hes an a hole .
The one thing I liked about Leona was that she had a sense of humor
The movie definitely did not exaggerate on how bad the school was & what Joe Clark was really like. The movie really got just about everything very accurately right. Joe Clark was ahead of his time. Hell, looks like even 60 Minutes was ahead of its time, talking casually about, on public tv, drug dealing & rapes normally occurring at a school
He was an amazing man. He changed the world.
Morgan Freeman did an excellent job portraying him in Lean On Me
His wife spent spent spent after he passed away
She was grotesque!!
Talk about unfortunate editing choices... At the 6 minute mark Morley goes "Hanging out in a zoo may well be the best kind of training for her latest project: the ballpark." and the next thing you see is Marge laughing it up with African American players.
In reference to resorts international and the taj mahal casino once the dust settled as we know now both men lost big time in their own respective ways.
Loved him on Benson
Here’s a quick simple solution for your books, a bookshelf with adjustable shelves instead of fixed shelves!
I remember watching this as it aired and it’s been one of my all-time favorite 60 Minutes segments. I still watch, but I sure miss the old gang. Don Hewitt was a genius.
Joe Clark had it right! We are not ready for a principal like this. But we need a principal like this. We have gotten so soft and restorative that students are beating teachers and the government isn’t doing anything. Discipline is not the enemy of success. I work at a school. When the school has beatings, rapes, and drug addicts you need to forget a democracy and go to a dictatorship!
Halle Berry before Halle Berry. Awesome
Where have I been? I just discovered Spitting Image on RUclips a few days ago.
Those puppeteers have rotator cuff injuries in their futures. Brutal on the shoulders.
He died January 23 of this year, having turned 91 fifteen days prior. Posting 6-15-24.
I don't like the guy, but I think I like the guy.
This is so true and totally changes the way I'll use that phrase.
This was from September 23, 1984.
Thank you!
I still love these old 60 minutes segments so much! Than you for uploading!
Was that John McCain in the commercial with Cronkite? If not, he looks pretty dang close to him.
Yes, it was. He returned with Cronkite for this documentary.
1:12 Best news story EVER! … and, delivered by a true pro!! Salute to Christopher Glenn!!
Problem with inner city kids today is they are overmothered and underfathered. We need ppl like joe
They’re basically brought up in environments where they’re not taught any better
I’m interested in this episode and trying to find a story about police issues in Winnemucca, Nv at this same time.
On 60 Minutes?
@@AndThatstheWayItWasNewsArchive yes. In this episode or the one before it.
Democrats
THE INVENTOR OF THE NUCLEAR SUBMARINE. HE WASNT A NUCLEAR SCIENTEST. A BROTHER. WHY IS IT ALWAYS SO THAT THOSE THAT COME FROM OUTSIDE TO DEVELOP SOMETHING NEARLY ALWAYS SUCCEED BETTER THAN THOSE EDUCATED IN SPECIFIC DISCIPLINE? THE EDUCATION SYSTEM STINKS JUST AS MUSK AND I HAVE CONSTANTLY SAID. AN INDIAN CAPTAIN WITH NO FORMAL EDUCATION IN NUCLEAR SCIENCE TAUGHT THE INDIAN NUCLEAR SCIENTIFIC ESTABLISHMENT HOW A NAVAL REACTOR SHOULD BE CONSTRUCTED. THERE WAS NO BOOKS SHOWING A NAVAL REACTOR OR ABOUT HOW TO MAKE ONE. THE USA STILL ONLY ALLOWS A FEW ON A SUB TO SEE THE NAVAL REACTOR.
There was a light and aura to her that was so captivating
I met marge Schott at a nursing home I worked at when I was right out of high school back in 1998, she was very friendly and talked to me for a long time about baseball, I was surprised...anyways say what you want about Marge but the Reds last won a world Series under her watch , something no owner has been able to do now for 34 years .....
And she gave Davis, a black man, absolute hell. I hope she's suffering.
I mean other then the fact that she liked adolf hitler, wore a nazi armband, made several racist remarks to black players, refused to pay for the players celebration after they won the world series because she was made the won the series in 4 games and she couldn't make more money, she was pissed off and made comments in the media because one years opening day was cancelled because a umpire died on the field, she then proceeded to re gift a bouquet of flowers to his family. She would also buy donuts for car dealership meetings and if their were left over donuts she would charge her employees...but yeah very nice lady
Respect Jesse Jackson? Hell no
Has a better arm than 50 cent!
Thank you so much for finding this! I noticed that there was a mention of having run this story the previous September, would you happen to have that one as well or know if that would have just been the same thing as this one? Thank you again, I never thought I’d end up being able to watch this!
Same story. It was a repeat with an update at the end.
@@AndThatstheWayItWasNewsArchive Thank you again for all of your help!
@@buckowens2841 My pleasure!
Where did you find all of these old 60 Minutes episodes? I have been looking for a specific segment that aired on September 30, 1984 called “God in the Classroom” for quite a while but I haven’t had much luck. If you happen to have any information on where I might find it, I would greatly appreciate any help!
Stay tuned - - and thanks for watching!
This turned out to be a modern day tragedy. One of the saddest, most cautionary tales in baseball history.
Yul Brynner my King forever King of Hollywood😊❤❤❤❤🫂🦋
