Is there a reason why it’s difficult for someone to sing runs naturally? I have a natural vibrato but I struggle with runs and riffs if I don’t practice them piece by piece

I am between a bass and a baritone, I can’t make my falsetto breathy, When I normally try, if the falsetto doesn’t start cracking and sound like vocal fry, I sounds like a loud opera singer, I would say similar sound to Dimash, just not anywhere near as good. I have trouble maintaining falsetto without it stop pronating, so I must be doing something wrong.
