Solid plastics contain zero percent water and do not dehydrate . They simply have a memory as you mentioned and that water was 212° much hotter than the sun so any source of heat 212° or hotter would do the same thing . I take the tight rolls and stretch them down the black trailer deck in the sun and they relax

You could have actually made a rocket stove if you had the hole extend to both sides and sealed around the edges. Could have duplicated a Dakota fire hole. And you only need one block and a hole to make a u. Happy burning.

Hi point has left modification up to the shooter, it's not a left-handed rifle. There are plenty of add mods to make it the firearm you want. The pic rails are everything when you want to make it your own. By the way, do you want to have to take your right hand of the command center to charge, change mags, or turn on or off optics?

Far too much Work, I like the simple 3 cinder blacks and 2 pavers and a brick to make an "H" lasts longer NO DIRILLING. and the 3 bricks with what most of us know to have air flow , Well Many be not on the show "Survivor" , everyone knows. Much to do with Lack of Good Education in Schools. No one is going to have a HOSE , A fire out , or glove, if in the wild. but yes guess it helps to some people who lack common sense, Period , in the First place. What about Strong WINDS, and you want to build one of these stoves. NO Mention of that , any loose particles from your stove will start a nasty fire. ,, seeing you had the hose and other items hands. ,,Being somewhat critical. but that would have made your Podcast more informative , than the 3 cinder block and one "H" block.

You have proven that a decent little improvised stove can be made from only 2 cement blocks but in my mind calling it a rocket stove is a bit of a stretch. You are lacking too many of the features that make a true rocket stove.

A brickie (mason) would just bust a notch with his trowel edge or a hammer. For fuel, air, or to look see. You could also dig a small furrow for air, then set the block over the trench. Taller chimney (more blocks high) increases the draft and rocket power.

You must remember that the idea is to make an inexpensive, improvised, emegency stove, which can utilize sticks, twigs and other small yard debris for fuel. While cement blocks are far from ideal for this purpose, you can get a reasonable life if you keep them dry and your fire small. It is unfortunate that many of the demonstrations of these things show them burning with flames licking out the top. That not only makes for a poor cook fire but also is too hot for the blocks to last.

  • @dennisbuelow1446

Those are not cinder blocks, they are cement blocks
