I too have come across a 4 stroke lawn mower that was bought to me because it wouldn't start and the owner thought it was a 2 stroke so when I checked the oil dipstick there was only a little bit left in the engine and dad and I looked at each other saying that might be the only reason the engine didn't lock up 😂😅 but it turns out that the reason it wouldn't start was because the carby needed cleaning and it was all good after that

Very simple people. Don't use ethanol fuel. At the end of the season run the engine till it's out of fuel. After it runs out of fuel, change the oil and put it away for next year. Don't put it away full of fuel like was done with this machine.

I don't understand. it tried to kick over on the first pull. why didn't it start or kick over again after more pulls?

Check the shaft maybe is bent to and take the flywheel check key maybe is broken then is out of timing

I picked up the same lawnmower, just different stickers. Troy Built. Great price 25.00 it didn't run. Bent blade. Missing air filter cover. I pulled the gas tank, and the carburetor cleaned both spark plug and blade replacement. Changed oil runs great. Shuts down if I use it a long time. I was wondering if it shuts down automatically when the motor is hot. Thank you.

Never trust a mechanic that smokes while working around oil and gas or that wears crocs.😂

It won't hurt it.

If the mix gas was at the right ration and the gas was clean it would not hurt anything but it smoke some until you run it out. Mow on.

It’s a pretty common mistake but what is really bad is straight gas in a weed eater or chainsaw 😢😢😢
