I loved both this and "Pushin' Too Hard" when each was originally released in 1965 -- and I still tingle when hearing them! Their other recordings were, as I recall, unoriginal by comparison, but these -- Well, there are no adequate adjectives to describe them: the vocals, arrangements, and instrumentation "as good as it gets" with any rock-'n'-roll recording! I'm only sorry that The Seeds, if only only on the strength of these two gems, never received the praise due them initially. Sincerely, Ray Cabana, Jr.
I had to click on this just because of the title..........exactly how I felt for awhile when I had the hots for this lady at my work who was flirting w me pretty hard every day for months. It was weird......we never really talked because she's the QC lady on the other side from where I work other than I invited her to join me on break by the picnic tables one time which she declined w a mysterious grin. Now I wonder was she just playing a game " to put the hurt on me". Things have cooled down, glad I didn't leave this note on her car I wrote after christmas. Now I realize she flirts a lot and is married (I presume). However she gets extremely jealous like I'd never seen a women if I scope out other women at work. One day some corporate people were being shown around...this hot brunette was scoping me out in a skirt....I returned the look then continued watching her walk away.....I turned my head and there she was looking hard at me thru the boxes; looked at her w a look "Oh shit I got busted" and her face of pure jealousy turned into a smirk. Its the strangest thing I've ever experienced w a women......she's very attractive and is from another country. Now I realize it for what it was but I feel like she's the one that's desperate now she senses I'm moving on from her. Around Christmas I had a rash of new guitar ideas and everyone of them happened while thinking about her. My advice to men is be careful when falling for a women at work. They are probably stuck in a dull marriage and are just trying to see how many guys they can get by the balls. Women enjoy sexual power....especially if they are a really pretty women past 35. They know they are losing something they took for granted in their younger days and want to be reasurred they still have it. Of course every women is different as is every man. I still feel something amazing when our eyes meet like we have this pure non verbal communication going on but its obvious nothing will ever happen with it. Its possible she could get in trouble if other coworkers from her country saw us talking on break. It would be weird if I went out to my car and she was the one who left a note for me....but at this point I'm too disappointed in her behavior that I've moved on to a new crush and am frankly a liitle weirded out by her "stocking" behavior of thinking about me at all. Lol. Whatever the case I'll never forget her.
I caught Jeffery as the Lyres were about to take the stage at the I-Beam in San Francisco. I asked him if I could have the lyrics to "How Do You Know," and he said, "No," followed by, "It's not your fault." Then they performed. It's the only time I ever saw them live. That was I think in 1987 or '88.
Finally I've learnt What I lost when I left you behind Eternity has claimed me, Shamed me, so I wear this mask all the time Still, it keeps returning Love's underground I can see the future I know how and when I'm gonna die I can see right through you tonight babe and I believe in you if I try Still, it keeps returning Love's underground Finally, I'm learning What I lost when I left you behind Eternity has claimed me tonight Shamed me, so I wear this mask all the time Still, it keeps returning Love's underground, alright Underground Underground Underground I can see right through you tonight and I believe in you if I try Darling tonight Darling tonight I just can't go on You keep returning You keep returning Yeah tonight

I heard this song while watching the Mustang!!!
Its a pretty good song but it's so much better if it's sped up to 1.15 which gives it a better beat.
