Removing a piece from the bat
Просмотров 3,5 тыс.2 года назад
Studio etiquette tip! Remove your piece from the bat once it's firmed up a bit so others can use that bat. 1. Lay out a piece of plastic next to you. 2. Undercut your pot with a wire tool. 3. Carefully lift your pot, using both hands and keeping them close to the base where the clay is thicker. 4. Place your pot on the center of the plastic. If the rim of your piece distorts, you can gently coa...

Excellent, thanks for the info and help. I learned several things I didn’t know about pinch pots. Already have a new project in mind
I’d like to learn how to make the container with lid. Thanks.
This is a really great video! Gina, do you have your own youtube channel with more videos? I enjoy your style of teaching. Thank you 🙂
Um, didn't you wedge your clay? I mean why are there so many air bubbles???? I wouldn't expect to see that on a teaching video. Thank you 🙂
Thank you for this video.
Aren’t you supposed to score and add slip between the two halves before sticking them together? To make sure it doesn’t fall apart during firing?
Yes, but if the clay is really soft you don’t have to.
Good work
Great teaching - thank you 👍🙏 How is your work surface made? Is it made with fabric on top?
Gina is the best! Such a great teacher!
Thank you so much for showing this !! 🥰
I already have done some mugs, bols, vases with coils or slab…but I went through your videos and it is just perfectly explained with all the details that we rush or dont pay attention to. I thank you a lot from South of France 🇫🇷
So u don't score and add slip to attach the 2 pieces?
It is inspiring to see the seeming ease with which she throws and alters, and the design of the pitcher is really elegant. Side note: I do believe this video is actually Part 2 in the series, and that Part 2 is Part 3. Thank you for posting the wonderful SLC videos!
That was very helpful. I like how you use slip instead of water which seems to make the form last longer. The gentle pressure you use is very clear in collaring.
Loved this demo. Your use of slip is interesting. It worked nicely in making a polished-looking foot out of a coil.
Hi ! You have a great youtube channel. WoW! Very intersting videos. W0w! I wish prosperity to your channel. I wish 1000,000 views for each video. WoW! Have a nice weekend. May God bless you and all your family. Good luck. 🍑 🥭 🍍 🥥 🥝 🍅 🍆 🥑 Very nice! Cool!
Girl you make that look easy😗
So beautiful, adorable!
She’s hot But not the kind of person I would have kids with.
Hi Gina, enjoying your videos, however you need to enhance your sound system, you are very soft.😢
Great tutorial... Thank you! Can I please ask why you don't score your clay when joining or adding?
Would love to see the video of pinch pot with a lid, please. That would be great. Thank you for sharing. Bev.J
Best pinch pot video I've seen! Thanks for including how you make your foot😊
You became my favorite when you made that joke at around 3:05😂
Very helpful 👏👏👏
Thank you for this great video❤😘
I love your videos Gina! Is the pot with the petals you are carving made with coils?
... love it! Thanks ♡
I forgot to ask. . . Where do you buy your clay?
Ever get your hair stuck in your projects? LOL 💕 Good video, thank you
Thank for sharing your mowlesh
How long do you leave it with the book on for?
What a great video. Thank you so much.
I recently picked up hand building pottery again with the hopes of eventually entering markets and starting an online shop. Social media can be so discouraging when you start to compare your work to others. I’ve followed a lot of ceramicist who use wheels and I used to tell myself “my work will never look as good as that.” Coming across your videos has been so inspiring and I’m so thankful for how easy, free and fun you make ceramics feel. Art should always be this freeing. Thank you thank you! Hand building is my favorite way of making ceramics and I’m so happy I came across your channel!!💛
