Hello, I'm guessing these were made during the 1950's when Anton Wingen Jr's daughter took over the company in 1951..It writes, they wanted to go back to production of "the classics" including Folding Hunter's. WWII was over, so production of fighting knives (including "Hitler Youth Knives") wasn't needed. I'm also not ruling out that these could have been made pre-WWII. Arms build up would have started in the middle 1930's. Producing thousands of Hitler Youth Knives along with knives for Adult soldiers. This Folding Hunter could have been produced anywhere from 1901-1933. I have a hunch, just a hunch this one was made in the 1920's... Just by the materials used - *Steel Liners *Iron Bolster (Magnetic) *Old school Elk Horn

I have the exact same knife that I bought in the 1990s, but oddly mine has hollow grind, not a flat grind. What the heck??
I think they made different variations of this model in the 90's . I've seen one exactly like this with a black coated flat ground blade. Probably carbon steel I imagine 🤷🏻

The stag on the website is like 90 percent of the handle. Very deceiving.
I didn't notice that on the website. However - This one came with thick slabs, where the website shows thinner pieces. You can see how much bark was lost when they had to taper the slabs to meet the bolsters. Have a great weekend brother✌️
