GOT IT?
When fionn said ok ok that sound like Leigh
That’s my great uncles hotel
It's grand enough, but Machu Picchu?...the comparison is ridiculous. The funniest thing about it is a total lack of irony.
I'm from Ireland
Bellissime ragazze irlandesi.
Great tight sounding band. Rob holding it together with his drummer (as usual). Great job guys.
Wished there were more ancient warfare movies in today’s cinema.
Ireland ? Castle ? It's about the city of York in northern England.
Such a stupid film
Why are they dressed like catholic school girls?
The people in the castle researched murder holes, and the people with the ram have a unique tech that allows Chemistry to affect rams
Where is the locksmith? its his day off sir.
Silly, scouts and towers would have spotted the troops moving in from miles away! LOL
They lost their starting scout, were doing an archers build, and had not researched Town Watch. Also didn't bother building outposts
Did you really need to leave that descriptor up for the whole scene.
The defenders were quite effective - but without mithril?? Futile
0:25 Well you won't, but your head...
самый лучший фильм который я видел за всю свою жизнь(38 лет). ничего лучше так и не смогли сделать с битвами рыцарями и без драконов с магией.
The old methods of warfare were most fascinating. You had to be a real man to fight in those wars. For a great read on this subject see Desmond Seward's The Hundred Year's War.
You're such a loser it's disgusting
get a life
Being a murderer is not equal to being REAL man. You don't want those MEN in today's society. Many of them would gladly take your home and rape your wife. Be glad you live in peaceful times without much worry.
Very first thing I see is a mostly naked 6 foot sword flopping around, smacking against the horse edge first. I really liked this movie when I was 13...
Braveheart my arse ! trim in was another country ....might as well be attacking Los angeles 1 ..Another mel gibson shit stick
nothing is accurate
I always thought the archers were the coolest of the medieval warriors.
I guess i am biased since i am from Norway. Anyways i think the viking berserkers were really cool. Running into battle naked while smeared in bearfat? Gnawing on the shield out of sheer eagerness for battle and munching on mushrooms that makes you see hallucinations? My ancestors were a weird bunch but they knew how to have a good time anywhere including their afterlife in Valhalla (if they managed to die gloriously in battle)
@Robert N Their idea of an after life was - Get up, party, women, out to the battlefield and fight hard to die and be healed again. Once they were healed they went back to the feasthall to have another party with plenty of drink, food and women as they bragged of their martial deeds. Then more women before sleep. The next day they repeated the same thing. Eternally partying and fighting till the final battle of Ragnarok.
How could this possibly in Ireland ?
They're not promoting the film, they're promoting the castle where the York scene was filmed and it's Trim Castle, Ireland.
One of the best movie in world . Mel Gibson legend actor. Love for Mel Gibson from Pakistan 🇵🇰.
They say Ireland but this is England, York to be precise
One of the funniest movies ever.
They put the transgenders on the ram at the end and they were just raging af
Imagine getting put on battering ram duty in a medieval war. I'd probably call in sick that day.
to be fair, real battering rams had better protection then this and the whole boiling oil thing is pure hollywood
@@AnvilMAn603 Oh yeah, but they did pour boiling water, hested sand and boiling sewage.
@@anaccount8474 To be honest, i wouldn't want to be on boiling the sewage duty either.
@@origamichik3n sounds like a sh*t job eh
“helloooo , royal mail ! got ya parcel”
inpaindaily
my fav movie when i was young. now i only see stupidity in this way......
One single roadbump and no gate would ever be breached like this
haha true .
Yes they would. They would just fill in the ground around it.
@@bla5102 while being shot at with arrows and throw at? Also it would have to be filled nicely enough to smoothen the ground enough so that it wont slow down the heavy machinery. And every time it would go through it the ground would collapse again and again.
@@adamjo5287 ppl in the medieval times and before build gigantic ramps to breach a wall. Sieges in medieval times routinely dealt with moats by damming them. A tiny ass bump will be peanuts. And there are ways to deal with incoming fire. Shielding for example or suppressing fire. You might want to look up the siege of Masada to just name one example. Just think about it those ppl spent centuries with such fortifications. Fought countless battles. Do you really think they did not come up with a speed bump if it would work like you claim? They were low tech, not idiots.
10% incline might work too 😂
Great Video! Love it!
Wallace has sacked York
William "mullet" Wallace
Wow
Everyone from trim working on the set charged an absolute ransome fair play to them 🤣
careful now.....
Thanks
Get hot tar poured on you from above, so let's roll down and rub our bodies into some more of the tar.....because after all, they have no idea the flaming arrows are coming next, right?
Very Excite
I wish I'd lived in the days when the weather in the North was so good that big balks of wood were almost explosively inflammable - would have made BBQing a lot easier than it is these days
Did you not catch the whole.... dumping flammable oil on the logs?
@@drewmurph2018 I was talking about the gate, which goes up in a sheet of flame from 1:35 onwards despite being well clear of the oil pour at 0:50. But really I'm just quibbling - the sequence is silly through & through
@@lappansommer546 when I saw this scene I didn't know what you were talking about cause I can see how the oil didn't touch the gate. And I can see how the gate could catch fire with the ram being on fire when it broke through. But I saw what you meant. The gate literally combusted into flames after they broke through at the bottom. Guess it's one of those scenes to make it look more awesome then believable
Thus was filmed at Trim Castle, but IT should represent the City of York.
Mels original project saw this sorry pile of steaming fantasy as an actual prequel to apocoa...apocloa the fucking mayan cess pit flimsily tied in by means of a monty python type ufo stolen from life of brian and see half of the crew as scottish highlanders that hitched a ride with the armada as it rounded the top of scotland, yeah fuck the continuity im Mel motherfucking Gibson and Im the only god dam dog in this fight and I hate all those goddam dam queues and all the goddam oversized roses and all the meady honey boarding queues and goddam giant roses I TOOK THAT GODDAM THUNDER HOLE MADE SURE I WENT NUT BUSH DEEP BOUNCER SHRIMP ON THE GODDAM QUEUES I HATE THE WORLD QUEUS QUEU. yeah I went there deal with it
Mel Gibson : "Alright, now we are gonna film when they're about to siege Trim castle." History consultant : "What? They never got there. Ever. Why are you doing this?" Mel Gibson : "Because I just said so. Plus it looks totally cool. Like kilts and giant swords." History consultant : "But WHY Trim castle." Mel Gibson : History consultant : Mel Gibson : "Ya know guys, let's fire this useless dude. And hire more extras with the money."
because trim castle has a long high wall that could be mistaken by the laymen to be the city of york. and if they dont know enough to know he never even reached york then it matters not the castle is in ireland. personally, im more concerned with some of the armour worn to be around 400 years too early. bascially the equivilent of seeing a harrier jump jet taking off from the bow of h.m.s victory.
@@pirateboyfearless Well the Harrier didn't need a runway according to Maggy Thatcher.
@@jimmymcjimmyvich9052 she also believed a country didnt need its own coal mines to be self sufficient on fuel... hows that working out for us?
Why didn’t they just have the eagles fly them to Trim castle?
Consultant "now for the battle of sterling bridge I was thinking..." Gibson "I like the sterling part but let's fuck off the bridge bit" Consultant "but the bridge was kinda the main reason for..." Gibson "FREEEEEDDDOOOOOMMM"
my gosh Hollywood sucks
They used trim castle in Ireland for filming the York scene 🤨
Wallace never made it to York so it fits.
@@CrniWuk true as .. they never even made it into northern England 🤟
in actually history they were black and brown people not white
The pathetic caravan puzzlingly notice because bee externally count upon a high-pitched catamaran. wretched, handsomely mouse
