We are mom-n-pop landlords. We vet our prospects carefully. We give tenants a certain amount of wiggle room. We take care of our properties. We keep rents lower than market and rarely raise rent. Tenants are NOT afraid to ask for something. This formula has built beautiful communities. My life is easy, tenants may struggle but they KNOW if they get jammed up we'll work with them.

I've owned one single-family rental house in FL for decades; have had same tenants for 12 years now. No draconian non-eviction or rent-control laws here, unles you're doing Section 8 housing. Which I would not do. If I weren't 73, I might buy more single family rental houses. Good luck to all the mom and pop landlords out there, (and pick your states carefully!)

On the contrary, landlords EXTRACT WEALTH from other people with less access to capital, slowly driving those other people into poverty if not homelessness, and are THE PRIMARY REASON that Canada is turning into a "3rd world" sh!thole. YOUR TENANTS PAY YOUR MORTGAGES, which means LANDLORDS ARE FREELOADERS. How about you people get real jobs instead of spending your most productive years sucking the life out of other people's futures?
