This was BOS-ORD. I have been seeing these pop up in more places lately. I love the ceiling.

@ it’s a great looking plane especially compared to the rest of United fleet. United is being a little selfish it’s seems they only use these in routes to ORD. They are taking delivery until 2035 so hopefully we see them on more routes

For a time, airlines were trying to remove the monitors with the idea that technology will evolve faster than the seats and nobody wants to look at the old credit card readers for the air phones for the next 30 years. Customer feedback was pretty negative on this and the newest seats now have them. Personally, I like the monitors in front if only to monitor the flight and to cast your own content.

Yeah, not sure who thought this was a good idea. They need the ability to lower them in the event you are traveling as a couple or with a friend/colleague.
