Metal Detecting the beaches of Tasmania Australia
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.5 лет назад
We took a family holiday to Tasmania, I took the opportunity to do some coin and relic hunting on two beaches, Penguin and Boat Harbour. There are no live digs as I was having some technical difficulties with the recording equipment. There is however wrap up footage of the finds at the end of the video.

I finally got around to detecting the beach. Its been a while. But heavier traffic on the beach during summer has meant more objects to detect.

Woodside Beach Gippsland Victoria Australia - metal detecting
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.7 лет назад
Woodside Beach Gippsland detecting the beach, no treasure to be found today, but I cleaned out a few items which were buried up to 30cms down. The CTX 3030 detector has no problems getting down deep into the sand.

Hey DaemonLlama, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) 🙂 Cheers, Felix
Hi. I can be contacted via email greymaokat@yahoo.com.au kind regards.
@@DaemonLlama76 Hey Daemon, just sent you a mail, did you receive it? :)
That’s awesome, sure glad good people still exist. Glad you found the owner of the keys.
Wow.
Great video enjoyed

@@DaemonLlama76 hi here is the video : ruclips.net/video/FIM_s5kDK_k/видео.html
Thank you!
Hi there, is it ok if I feature it? Credited of course! And where did it happen?
Hi, Yes, feel free to feature it Dashcam lessons. Just let me know when you post it, so I can check it out. It happened in Victoria, Australia last year. I was driving home from work, I could hardly believe what I was seeing!
@@DaemonLlama76 Thank you! And I'll feature it in my next Australia-compilation. I'm unsure when that will happen because I don't get too often videos from Australia, but when I'll have enough to make a video, I'll let you know!
Bloody idiot that's how the become a statistic... how have you been mate ????.
I've been well mate, haven't been able to go out detecting for a while. My inlaws neighbour is a keen detectorist wants to go out detecting in Gippsland over the summer. Looking forward to that. Hope you and the family have been well?
@@DaemonLlama76 Gippsland is awesome over the summer months... hope it all goes to plan for ya... We're all doing good mate I hope you and yours are travelling well.. stay safe over the next few months and don't let your guard down, this virus has a habit of popping out of nowhere.. just like over in Newzealand, it's been gone for ages and like a mushroom it just pop's up... ATB Jim.
Think you have Easton super nocks fitted which are small groove. Replace with Easton 3D super nocks, that should solve the tight nocking problem.
Thank you
I shoot a bear species, I’ve bought 2.5 dozen power flight arrows and never had any problems with the nocks being too tight, I’ve actually had people suggest they were on the loose side. I’ve had 2 good sets of a dozen (340 spine and 300 spine) which were both fairly good and one half dozen set that were set up like rubbish from the shop and have never shot well.
Think you need both hands budy
thanks for sharing, very useful info, ATB HH SOIL(+)SEARCHER..
Awesome place tassie.. great video cheers
Found 2 1949 1/2 pennies there
Powerflights are great your strings serving is most likely the problem. I think you should try a slightly better arrow if you want to see any improvement over the predator. Try the Easton Axis. Wicked arrow for all hunting applications. You will notice where your money has been spent. Just my opinion but i have made this step up and it is significant.
That superglue comes of with some 800 wet and dry no problem. Just make sure the paper is wet.
I get my serving and dloop done to tbe arrow ill be using. There all different some will be good others will be to tight or to lose.Went from goldtips to carbon express and the carbon express was to tight for my serving.
Never found better than Fletch Tite Platinum
Thanks mate.
Ill second that. 20+ years of bowhunting platinum all the way. I love fletching my arrows in front of the tele with some coldies.
@@huntinglife5202 now that's time well spent!!!
Hoping to get to Tassie by the end of the year, how long did the boat trip over take? Those foil drink disks are a real pain in the back side, we even find them out bush detecting. Cheers for sharing and happy hunting, Alicia & Steve
Thanks for watching and subbing. It took about 11 hours. We've got a 4yo so chose the night sail. They sail during the day too. I can't find a decent use forthe disks. At least tent pegs are useful! :) i plan on catching up with your videos this weekend. MD Melbourne sent me! :)
I reckon it's a railway dog spike as well.
Yep. A long long time ago! Thanks for watching.
Tasmania is a great place to visit mate, I'm looking at going there this coming Christmas... it's great to see a video from you ... Thanks for sharing GL&HH Jim 👍
Thanks mate! Perhaps once it cools down a bit we could do a park hunt together? Tassie is beautiful country, but the laws/rules regarding detecting are confusing. I got a prospecting license while there for $31.60 from the MRT, But there is debate as to whether its required for beaches. Sign up for the Tas metal detectors fb group before you go. They were great! There's also quite a lot of silver for sale there, especially at salamanca market! :)
Wow that is whole whack of tent pegs !!!
It sure is!
There's also a Victorian company called ROE, that makes detecting shovels as well. They're a bit longer, like 900mm and have a thinner blade.
Cool. Thank you. I'll check them out.
NO, youcannot put the ws4 unit straight onto the S frame, you'll need an adapter!
Did you shoot the arrows? Maybe the nocks will loosen up. You might be applying too much glue to your fletching. If so, wipe the excess with a rag! With experience your fletching can only improve mate.
I did shoot them for a few weeks. They were damaging the serving so I went back to CX arrows. Havent had an issue since.
Cheers for the sub. I subbed back and look forward to going through you videos 👍
Thanks mate. Much appreciated!
Thanks for the subscribe mate!!!! subscribed back and nice channel 😊
+ME HUNTERS thanks mate. Much appreciated.
beaucoup trop cher!! ya des pelles de meilleurs factures vendues deux à trois fois moins cher!!
Thanks for the info. Hey another good thing to put coins in is prescription pill bottles people get from the pharmacy, here in the US. It's easy enough to remove the label from it and there are several sizes, good for coins and rings, lightweight and don't take much room in bag. I like those bags you had attatched to your detector. Good for sunglasses too. : )
great vids mate :) i hit the red button you can share the love if you like!
Great video ,it amazing how foil rings up so high. and the one is a belt buckle thing You we’re not sure of. And thanks for subscribing to my channel just subscribed to yours and looking forward to your next video keep hunting
+lavender Rose Yes! Now i see it, a belt buckle piece! Mystery solved! Thanks for watching! :)
Nice clean up LOL Thanks for cleaning that place! GL&HH! Sinisha
+sdesic haha. I figure its a mutual benefit. I get to detect without being hassled. And the surf life saving club has to deal with less injured feet!
Hey buddy the tent pegs would be a pain mate those bloody sun shade things GL& HH
MD Melbourne sure was. I thought id picked up a few. But was surprised there was 12! They show up inconsistently on the detector. Depth often varies as they are long.
Do a trip out of the city and detect the routes to the gold fields. Were they camped on the way, crossed waterways old roads etc. They also traveled back to cities with their gold and some buried it overnight for protection. Goodluck.
Golden Turd i plan on going to the goldfields at some stage. I need to learn more about my detector first.
DaemonLlama Still gold among the trash, infact one of my biggest nuggets was just under a brocken pickhead that was laying on the surface.
Golden Turd nice one! Id be happy with enough to eventually cover the cost of the equipment! But i like im helping out the community with a few people not getting injured on the stuff i removed from the sand.
Great video mate keep up the great work mate
+Tyler Barnfield thanks mate. I appreciate the feedback! :)

nice digging mate! cool that you returned the keys I am sure she is a happy gall! I have found a special ring lately and wish I could return it but alas no info on the ring except the engravings on the top. really wish the soldier would have at least have put his initials inside the band to give me a starting point to find his family! enjoyed the video mate! best of luck to you and yours cheers Nathan
Dog is my co-pirate sure is a good feeling being able to return them. Its a shame when there is only dead ends when trying to find the owner.
Lovely weather and great finds :-)
