Hi Folks I'm Mike From Minnesota. My channel will be featuring cooking videos with recipes. These will include Lebanese dishes such as Kibbee (steak tartare) , Garlic Sauce (toum) Lebanese Flat Bread, Stuffed Grape Leaves (warik enib), Lebanese Meat Pies and more. American dishes will include Home Made Pizza, Tomato Bisque Soup, Chili and more. Wild Game recipes Venison Jerky.
My channel will also include Ice Fishing, Summer Fishing, Hunting and the natural resources of Northern Minnesota, Chippewa National Forest. Lakes Winnebigoshish, Cut Foot Sioux, Red Lake, Lake of The Woods and more. I will also feature some of the Resorts in the area.

Pico de Gallo with Mike from Minnesota
Join me in making a wonderful summer fresh Mexican Salsa, Pico de Gallo
Recipe:
1. First start with the amount of fresh Tomatoes you want to use.
2. Dice the Tomatoes and add to a bowl. It's best to blanch and peel the skins first but not necessary.
3. Now dice and equal amount of Yellow Onion and add to the bowl.
4. Now add a little Salt.
5. Now add Fresh Cilantro to taste. Finely chopped.
6. Now add a finely diced Green Pepper
7. Now add the heat. Finely chopped Jalapeno or hotter Pepper
Stir and add additional ingredients to taste. Add more salt to taste and enjoy!

Tanner was a great guide! We had him on our first day when we were up there a few weeks ago. Without his advice we would have done way worse. And he showed us a couple giant sturgeon that he and his girlfriend caught a few days before. It was my wife's second trip and my daughters first trip.
Yes Tanner was great. He gave us some really good tips to put fish on. A summer guide trip with him would be fun

I recommend in the future to keep your shiners in a separate container they last longer because they're so touchy with how much air they get.
All right you convinced me, I'm going out to Winnie this year, but what do you recommend early ice snowmobile and pop-up tent or late ice with the ice castle.
Thanks for your tip on shiners. I don't think I ever got shiners in the winter. But I'll check on that. I hope to spotlight another resort this year and I've heard that early ice is the best. I usually don't get out too early because I'm a chicken when it comes to thin ice. But really anytime you can go...just do it
At the end of this month you can go up there again there will be at least 6 inches of ice most of the time.

This brings back memories of my childhood (50's/60's). You're spearing deep there. The thing I liked best about spearing was the element of surprise. One never knows what's going to come in. Back in the 60's, a giant sturgeon came into my hole and just settled on the bottom to watch my decoy. I've seen videos of sturgeons in spearing holes and they were all minnows compared to the one that came into my spearing hole. Great video!

YOU SHOULD NO THE RULES BEFORE YOU GO OUT SPEARING, TRY GETTING THAT SPEAR FURTHER IN THE WATER BEFORE DROPPING.
