Kenny Roberts Yamaha TZ 750 at Indy
I'm a little late getting this out. Could'nt believe I drove 2000 miles to see this but It was worth the drive. Lived near Laguna Seca most of my life and remember Kenny on the TZ 750 in the 70's and the 500 in the 80's. I probably seen his last race there in 83 or 84. At the very least the greatest road racer from the US and as good as anyone from the rest of the world, any generation. He's one of only a handfull of people in this world I'd like to meet before I hang my helmet up

Chills.
Harley Davidson was shown that American technology can't compete with japaneese technology 😂😂😂 !!!
That announcer needed not to say a thing.... just listen and appreciate the moment
Justice screaming yeeeemmmaHA!
Rock On ✌️ way 2 😎
Rock On
How old was he when this was filmed?
Nervosa a TZ
34 Years later and Harleys are still Air Cooled ..
Imagine the thoughts he had riding his GP bike with this engine and thinking. I'll just squeeze this engine into my flat track frame.
Sergio Dal Bo . Kkr rimane senza dubbio il pilota manager nr 1
and like the TZ, the Indy Mile is history. Sad, Not what I'd call progress.
That's why he was the best.
Yamaha 🇮🇩👍1
Man oh man wish I could have been there back in the day but I was born in 84
12 years later. Chills up my spine. That sound!
HA NG INN on 4 Deere Life.
I was there that night. I'll never forget it. That bike sounded like hell unleashed.
My dad used to flat track Bultaco Pursang
Screams of a happy bike
迷人的2行程割草機轉速音浪。
Kenny make 240 km in 1975 with this TZ ...and they banned because to fast and furious
Vai lá e acelere uma 750cc, tem que ter 3 testículos ou alguns milhares de óculos.
Loud commentator and shrieking crowd. Why cant the be quiet & let the bike make the noise!
Amazing
He rode it like he stole it! Put him on that bike, give him a few more warm up laps, and i'll bet my check that he wins against the field!
Like taking the Space Shuttle out for a Sunday afternoon site-seeing trip
If only YAMAHA sold this bike to the public
I'm sure I've seen this video a thousand times and I still get goosebumps hearing that evil angry TZ !! no other motorcycle to this day comes close to sounding like it !!
if only the guy at the mike could just shut off
The man is a god .
Here is a Video of the Original race Kenny's Wheelie while holding the checker flag down the back straight away is impressive ..
Mike Skidmore mi
Kenny kenny Kenny Roberts was an inspiration to all I raced with Kenny in the 70s but the Indy mi was the most spectacular race of all ALA
Long live the king !
2 tempo tá no meu sangue .kkk
He's the Bollocks!!
other than a nitro drag bike ,there is no other meaner sounding bike!!!
The Yamaha is about 200 HP at the crank and the H-D were maybe 90 HP. That Yammie was also a lot lighter than the H-D bikes. Kenny said if he had the tires that were on the bike now back in the 70's, he could have lapped the field. He said it's incredible how the tire technology has changed since he last raced the bike.
in 1975 th eTZ-750 was 130 HP and the Harley XR-750 was 75 HP by 1985 the TZ-500 was 150 HP
200hp is a lil outrageous. More like 150. I have a 1015cc twin maike about 215 on 113 oxygenated with modified cr500 pistons. Highly Doubt this 750 is making anywhere near 200
Well duh it's a high comp 750 2 stroke. Apples and oranges. Like comparing a CR500 to an xr400
shut up,,listen at the engine
king of all track...
Chills, no really. Most of us will never even fathom what it must be like to ride such a nutty insane engine as a flat-tracker. I most remember him on the only 500 in a 750 race at Laguna Seca, where he started in last place. At the end of the first lap, the FIRST lap after starting last...he was ahead of everyone.
TZ 750 flat tracker...who would have thunk it?
That man has cast iron balls, because that is one annngry motorcycle! Chill inspiring to see and hear. You are the man Kenny!
That is a nasty bike it sounds like it wants to annihilate everything in its path..lol
King Kenny .. Modesto Cal
I saw Eddie Mulder ride this bike at the Sacramento Mile in 2000/01, wouldn't open it up all the way... he said it was too fast and scary... just an unreal earsplitting monster as it passed the grandstand on each lap.
King Kenny !! You are definitely the man.
that thing sounds like the fucking end of the world is coming sweeeeeeeet
