I think because of how evil Hitler was, people tend to forget how terrible Wilhelm was. Not evil terrible. Stupid terrible. He was brash, erratic, prone to emotional temper tantrums and often made decisions based on emotion. He took almost everything foreign leaders did as a slight against Germany. He didn't possess the discipline of his grandfather or the diplomacy of his father.
