I recently graduated from a DA school and got my Certificate in DA only. I started applying for jobs and I currently have on at an Ortho Office for Ortho Assistant. So honestly a certificate CAN help you, you just have to put in the work and call different dental places till you get an interview/job. But yes I am learning everything about Orthodontics but its okay bcuz if you known you can learn quickly and not give up along the way you CAN b an Ortho assistant with just a DA certificate. (My goal is to get my RDA license so I just need a year at any office rn) ☺️🫶🎀🫧

Hi! Of course! 💕 I did so general for 6 months before ortho, and I feel I like them both equally, ortho is definitely more exhausting tho because you do everything

What’s the difference of a ortho assistant and a orthodontist?
The Orthodontist is a doctor. They went to Dentistry school got a DDS and then did extra years to specialize in orthodontic care.

Do you recommend going to a dental assistant program? To get my certification? Or what specific school do I need to go? The program it’s about 1 year
A dental assisting program is good but it’s more expensive than online dental assisting school
DO you find that adults are more nervous to get braces than kids? I would guess that most adults reluctantly get braces
Most are excited because they say they waited years to be able to afford braces
@@48drea i was really nervous because I was worried how I would look with braces and also how dating as an adult would be. I joked that they should start an adult braces social club. Do adult teeth mover slower?

@@48drea the assistant who did mine complained about some of the kids lol. I was SO nervous I think she felt sorry for me

Hii, thank you!!! 💕💕 I live in Houston, Tx. For my hair I use L’Oréal technique chroma true red in the color “chroma sangria” and mix it their 30vol developer! 🤍

The facts that you have time to bake cookies at work is insane to me while I sometimes don’t have time for a full lunch because the volume is insane for corporate type of office 😭
That’s why I stay away from corporate 😭😭😭 switch to a private office!

this might sound weird but i wanted to consider being an ortho assistant.. how much do you get paid?
It depends on the state as well as the area. I live in NC and Raleigh/Cary pays from $19-$22 for a new DA1, but once you spread out and are out of town starting pay can be $15-$17 an hour for more rural areas.
I start RDA School on Monday can’t wait to start my journey I want to do orthodontic so bad 🎀🦷🪥
