Thanks Uncle Donald! It has been a journey making this sword
@@ZacBuchananKnives you bet you worked hard on this one ,I agree with with the comment about cramping fingers
Them hands had to have been cramping lmao Props bro, looks great
Thanks, I had to break it up over several days. Lol
I didn't read it and thought it was a leather belt then 20 feet later, I realized it was, not...
Lol, almost long enough to be. It would make a good pattern for a belt
Wow that really brought out the pattern
Yeah, it really does
Looks good!
Thanks
Clean work
Thank you

Why not forge the tapers?
I don’t do any forging, this is for the stock removal method 👍
Almost..
What respirator are you using? Seal good around your beard?
Брат это мощьно!😮

Thank you

Thank you
ive watched hundreds of these, i still use a jig, this is the best yet, i may even lose my virgin and try a freehand grind tomorrow
Thank you. I hope the video helps
the reflection still kinda blur,if you can do up to 20000 grit sandpaper before polishing, the result will be amazing...😁
Just wow 😳
Thanks
Thank you for this useful information)
I hope it helps, thanks for watching
It's super helpful, like you break on stages and write it , thank you)
I’m glad you enjoyed it
Zach incredible job I would greatly greatly appreciate if you would show a little bit of how you do a grinding on the chef knives with commons. Please please please
Good stuff! Thanks for sharing.
No problem! 👍
Good tutorial. Thanks for taking the time to show the grind at the different steps.
Yeah, of course! Thanks for watching
Yes there is
Great video
Thanks
You have me very jealous of your skill. I’m giving knifemaking an earnest go. You make some really inspiring content and knives. Always forget to follow on Instagram but I will now
Thanks for watching! Good luck with your knife making
Badasss man keeper going
Thanks
Indeed Good Sir!
You reckon the sandpaper brand matters? What about cubitron? This comment will be edited many times I’m sure.
Do you find there’s diminishing returns with abrasion resistance and mirror finishes? AEB-L is easy to get a mirror finish, and will scratch easily with use. Are there any steels that resist this abrasion with use, or is it not really directly correlated? In my mind lc200n seems like a good mirror steel but would scratch super easy. That got me thinking magnacut might be worth polishing, if the vanadium resists polishing it might resist striation?
All blades scratch with use over time, some finishes are just better at hiding the damage. I typically just use cpm154 so I don’t have a ton of experience with other steels. Abel is good steel and I’ve heard really good things about magnacut I’d like to try some in the future
That looks lethal and fast!
Thank you, it’s surprisingly light
Wow great work Zac,I would suggest a name but uncle donald is unimaginative lol maybe Ari or Sara can suggest great names?
Beautiful work
Thanks
Nice work for sure!
Thank you
Insane man. To know you freehand ground a blade that long is an achievement in itself. 😮Beautiful work!
There was a lot of learning involved and it really tested my patience. Thanks man!
Really enjoyed it. Got a good laugh when the South Park character popped up! 😂
Thanks Dustin! Glad you enjoyed it
I would pay alot of money for that sword
Thanks! I hope someone will
i Would name it " the mirrored edge" or" the mirror of Buchanan"
I like the theme a lot, I’ll probably end up running with something like that. Thanks!
