You’ll def have a unique sound! Those spring bolts are tricky without having the car on a lift. Is it pretty loud with the defatted front pipe? And do you have a CEL yet?

@@ZachTurnsUp I don't! I only deleted the secondary cat in the front pipe so far. When I do my UEL header install I plan on using a J-turned De-fouler so I don't get a CEL. And yes, my wife complains daily about my cold start lmao

Hydraulic > Power steering > steer-by-wire in my opinion. The 86 has solid steering from the factory but more rigidity never hurt anybody. Im looking to add more oversteer tendency so I think a thicker rear sway bar is up next. But you’re right I’m surprised there isn’t more talk about these in general.

@@ZachTurnsUp definetly can recommend sway bars. I have the perrin 22mm front/25mm rear and they were a good purchase

Was looking at that kit, I like that it's adjustable. 25mm in the back seems like the way to go, with a thinner bar in front just to have better turn-in

@@ZachTurnsUp definetly helps the car feel more oversteer friendly. I run my front on the stiff setting and rear on the middle with whiteline endlinks. Trust me when I say you dont need more than that. Perrin has the "% stiffer than OEM" charts on their page and both of those settings are something like 700% stiffer than stock. Even on my stock perf pack struts on my brz I basically have no body roll. Also running blitz front and rear strut bars and the combo feels solid.

That's gotta drive like it's on rails! Perrin's so good about making their data visible for all their products I love it. Will likely go that route.

Thanks for watching! HKS sounds great with some UEL headers. After a few months with the AWE track I will say I wouldn't be able to deal with the noisy cold starts if i lived in a residential area. It's ridiculous lol

even the touring is boomy, especially on decel. single exit Ti seems to be the way to go (right exit over left exit)...

If I do a part 2 I'll include this, I've heard good things.

The cold starts are ridiculously loud until your RPMs drop, but the crackles on downshift are so satisfying. Excited for you!

i daily it and it is hard to talk on the phone but the sound is well worth it to me, i did upgrade audio so the sound system is till good to hear

I've been living with it for a while and I enjoy it, scared to do headers though, I wouldn't want it any louder than this.

I'll include Kakimoto if I do a part 2, I heard one in person last month and it was glorious.

I've never been too impressed with the "OEM plus" options from manufacturers but the TRD/GR option is tasteful. Definitely a mature choice, I wouldn't bite for $1,600 though.

@@nosunnn I anticipate they are called different things in different countries. Google "hot dog muffler" and you'll see what I used. That's what we call them in Australia. They are a straight through muffler that just tones things down a bit. I found the Touring to be too much 'boy racer' look at me for my tastes. The addition of the two straight through mufflers knocked perhaps 15% off the noise which makes it really pleasant but still full of character when the revs rise. The standard factory set up sounded terrible to me.. hope that helps :)

Love the fit & finish of the AWE lineup, and I'm happy they're modular. If I move out of the city into the suburbs I'll have to switch to the touring, these cold starts are insane.

I hear that, it's definitely subjective but the only time my AWE track is a bother is at cold start. I wonder if you could get away with an HKS in a stricter state like Cali...

Japanese regulations. that is why they are no louder than stock; but with a more refined tone...

I've heard great things about Noble, definitely not a daily option. I'll include their single exit if I do a part 2 for this.

It's a safe bet, the Track isn't everyone's cup of tea. AWE's fit and finish is the best in the biz though, 5 inch tips with a double wall mean they'll fit your diffuser perfectly without burning your plastic.

the touring can still be an ear full under hard engine work and decel. cabin sound is on par w/a prop aircraft....

@@ZachTurnsUp Yes, this a gentleman's exhaust. very linear on the powerband, no rasp or excessive pops and it sounds very good when warmed up. Not too loud and gives 90s JDM vibes. Additionally, this seems to be the only exhaust that actually adds some power albeit very small. In my opinion, there's nothing worst than having a slow car that is loud and obnoxious.

I was looking at these, can you buy them online or are they dealer-install only? For an OEM+ option they don’t sound terrible
