What weld machine did you use?

For painting make sure you get a good compressor and spray gun. LVLP is the best option for small compressors. Paint Society, The Triggerman, speedokote refinishing Marco, Garage Noise and many others. They’ll give you the most valuable tips when it comes to painting.

A bit late but for a car that old, i would have recommended to just take the injectors to a shop for ultrasonic cleaning and flow testing. All depends on what you wanna do with the car. If its just a fix and sell, just orings probably fine. If you wanna keep it for a while, do yourself the favor. Perks up the engine a lot and i would say is the #1 cause of older cars "feeling" old, besides obv suspension parts. And NEVER absolutely NEVER buy "new" injectors from anywhere that isnt an OEM. We literally have had this issue multiple times with all sorts of engines, boat engines, chevys, fords. You buy new from amazon thinking its cheaper than having them cleaned, and end up having to get the old ones cleaned anyways because the new ones dont work properly.

Put some work into a bmw x5, my buddy’s 3rd gen 4Runner has half the mileage of my e53 and we drive to the same places and he’s been having more issues lately. Transmission won’t shift unless he’s doing it manually for example and the back window motor went out. Also had bad fuse box connections recently

The oil leak got worse when you but the oil because it ran most of its life on conventional oil and when you but synthetic oil it oil leake form everywhere. drain the oil and but some 10w30 and see if that fix it

Replace both doors. Front door is beyond repair. They’re made to replace not straighten. Section quarter. Blend fender and rear bumper. And sell it. Good video man

Yeah, I hope you fixed your ground, like a previous commenter said, it’s not connected and that’s what’s arcing and burning a hole in your oil pan. There are many good RUclips videos on this truck. “Timmy the Toolman” great contributor. I’ve 3 of these trucks so far, 2 in my garage. There’s a video of the most common issues with these trucks all simple to fix. Once you get these done, this truck will last forever.

Your main ground is shorting out on the oil pan. Thats why the smaller ground is getting hot. Its not rubbing but grounding out and burning metal. That ground goes on the drivers side behind the alternator.
