Emotional Intelligence of Fear
Просмотров 291Год назад
FEAR is 'False Evidence Appearing Real' Fear is one of the most negative and inhibitory emotions of our daily lives. We decide to do (or not do) many things because of fear - fear of outcomes, fear of future, fear of others, etc. In this video, I have how we could be more intelligent about fear and manage it better to be more effective. The video is from my Leadership Skills course on Coursera:...
Emotional Intelligence of Envy
Просмотров 181Год назад
"Envy is the art of counting other's blessings and ignoring your own" - Anonymous One of the things that ego likes to do is to trick us into believing that we are 'not enough', that we do not have good things going on in our lives. I call this as a trap because the true happiness does not lie in material possessions of the outside world. It lies within! While the ego loves comparisons, the natu...
Understanding and living 'Dharma'

धर्म एव हतो हन्ति, धर्मो रक्षति रक्षित:| In Mahabharata, Ved Vyasa writes this at multiple places. In our lives, let us adopt righteousness (English word that comes closest to ‘Dharma’) in our lives. This righteousness is not just good for the society but will also protect us just as we protect it. In this video, I share my thoughts on ‘Understanding and Living ‘Dharma’’ in our life. I hope we ...
Emotional Intelligence of Anger
Просмотров 238Год назад
"Anger is like holding burning coal in your hand, hoping that you will throw it at someone" - Gautam Buddha Emotions, by their very nature, do not have intelligence. They arise from a part of our brain that is beyond our control. Emotional intelligence is the ability to 'add some intelligence to your emotion'. The seat of anger is 'expectations' - something our ego-self is great at. In this vid...

Every leader needs to have a punch line! My punch line is: TREAT for LEAP. As leaders, we must display TREAT leadership and establish LEAP workplace cultures in organisations. TREAT begins with 'Task-orientation (T)' and LEAP ends with 'Performance'. Leaders have to be task-oriented and establish cultures that enable performance. However, there is roles of positive leader behaviours and cultura...

In this video, I talk about a new concept of 'organisational culture' that I have coined that is called as the 'LEAP' culture. LEAP stands for the following: L - Learning E - Enjoyment A - Autonomy P - Performance When learning, enjoyment and autonomy exists in organisations, performance (P) is achieved. If L, E, and A is missing, then P will suffer. Hope you find this video useful! Best wishes...

Sir i have completed your course on leadership and i am now fond of professors like you, how you teach and you speed of teaching is just perfect . I hope i got a chance to meet you in iim ahemdabad. IF you reply me on this video i will definitely work more harder to get into iim ahemdabad.
Same here dude! One of the most amazing course on Leadership
Very nice video sir thank you
Sir, what can we do if we have categorical variables with many levels each i.e more than two? Can you make a video on it please?
Nice message! But, as a scientist, do you believe in creation or accept evolution as valid evidence from science? I think you cant be in between and need to tell us which side you are on.
I believe in evolution as an important determinant of our behaviour. I think there is enough evidence for evolution. However, it is also true that we have power to create our own destiny and change how we think and behave. It is not an either/or problem. We can work with both.
@@prof.vishalgupta4289 thanks Professor!
Thank you Professor.
Thank you for your work!
Extremely useful. Thank you so much!
Thanks for video :)
Sir, so well explained by you. I have obtained clarity.
thank you

Thanks a lot Sir This is very helpful
How do we implement this is real computation? Thats is , after we compute the average of the factor loadings, where in the dataset do we put the average?
Prof Vishal I have a question : I have a model and I added grouping variable men and women to that model but unconstraint model fit Is excellent ( RMESEA = 0, CFI= 1 TLI =1 SRMR =0) and I constraint that model ( Chi square = 52.176. CFI 0.124 TLI -0.461, SRMR 0.028 ) and I do chi square difference test and it gives gives me p value of 2 (and I go forward adding one control variable to the unconstraint model(CFI=1, TLI =1 SRMR=0 and I again check it with the constrain model (CHI sQUARE=558.170 , CFI=0.521 TLI 0.234) and chi square difference test gives me p value of 2.50 so in both model unconstrained is acceptable however, chi square difference test gives me insignificant result for both model. what should I which one should I continue.
Hı Prof vıshal first of all thanks a lot for explaınıng this we do the same for constraınt and unconstraınt modeli right ? also ın the excel sheet ıt says p valse 6.504 ıt ıs not what you say ın the video whıch you say less than 0.01 how
Yes, it is is mistake. 6.504 is the t-stat. p-value is less than 0.01
Hello sir. Thank you very much for this video. Can I perform a mediation analysis with categorial DV in AMOS using the Bayesian method?
Arpita: For a categorical variable you should perform logistic regressions. See this link where I have given some useful reference material regarding such regressions: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cXCM7752lfZB0PwqLbc50gmnrQcB24hv?usp=sharing
Thanks a lot sir for your help. Could you please share your email ID? I have a few questions regarding CFA. I need your help.

So true,and nicely explained
Thank you
You are doing a great work Prof Vishal ji.
Very nice
Great! Thankyou Vishal bhaiya Happy birthday to you...
Thank you sir, very useful.. 3:15
Even after writing it Dharma, Sir when you pronounced it Dharm. It just won my heart. It feel so proud when we pronounce our hindi words the way it should be pronounced unlike most of us adopting western pronunciation and calling it Dharmaa.. Thanks Sir
Thanks Prakhar. Yes, it will always be 'Dharm' for me :)
Nice
Sir, In my original model relationship between A and B was insignificant. Then I tested the effect of moderator on this relationship. And the moderating effect was significant. So does this effect makes any sense
Yes, absolutely Mansi. It makes sense. It is showing the moderator changes the significance of the relationship between A and B and hence is a useful boundary condition to be considered in the model.
Thank you sir. I have one more doubt sir. SEM can be applied to data collected through probability sampling techniques but what we normally do is convenience sampling. So how can we justify the use of convenience sampling for SEM and if there are any specific references for the same. It would be a great help.
Hello Sir! Is First among equals similar to the concept of Servant Leadership style/approach? What are your views on Servant leadership? Is it considered significant by business organizations? Thank you.
The video quality has reached an impressively professional standard, and the content on this channel has consistently been excellent. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to study in your classes. Please continue to share more content.
Many thanks Prakhar for your kind message.
Thanks for the lecture series!
You're very welcome! Regards
Thank you, Sir, for your valuable insights. I have a SEM model with several variables: one ordinal dependent variable with three levels of response, three endogenous variables that are continuous, and seven exogenous variables consisting of two latent variables and five ordinal variables with five levels of response. I have observed non-normality in the data. I would like to know which estimation method in AMOS would be suitable to obtain robust parameter estimates and standard errors. Would selecting the maximum likelihood (ML) estimation method and using bootstrapping help resolve this issue?
Hi Amit: I feel you can go with ML with bootstrapping. It should work. You may also try other ordinal methods such as ADF or WLS estimation methods. My experience has been that ML with bootstrapping gives similar results. Hope this helps. Best wishes
@@ProfVishalGupta Thank you Sir

We don't have to calculate AVE and CR for each measurement model ? What if we did CFA in a single measurement model including all the variables DV n IDVs altogether...?
Yes, you can compute the AVE and CR all at once in one overall measurement model.
We don't have to calculate AVE and CR for each measurement model ? What if we did CFA in a single measurement model including all the variables DV n IDVs altogether...?
Yes, this is absolutely fine. It can be done. No problems.
Sir, can we multigroup SEM method for experiment data?
Yes Tejaswi, it is absolutely possible. Once you have the data, it is possible to apply this technique. thanks
Thank you Prof. This video help me a lot.
Thanks, very happy to know this. best wishes
Sir, Why is there a double arrow for mediation? Shouldn't it be single arrow connecting IV to DV and mediator?
Prabina: This is the measurement model which I use to compute the latent factor values. If it was mediation, then yes we should have had single direction arrows.
Very helpful for my test. Thank you sir 🤍
Thanks, I am happy to know you find this useful. Best wishes
thank you so much

Dear Prof, Thank you so much for such wonderful video sessions. Since you are associated with one of the India's best prestigious institutions like IIM and you must be having the exact knowledge. So I really want to ask you one question - If I have to participate in a good international conference abroad then from which website I can get to know about conferences taking place abroad. Because there are links and websites which are conducting fraud and charging huge money frauds with the scholars like us. Kindly guide Prof. Thanks a lot.
Hello Paras: You should look at INDAM: www.indam.in/ and AOM: aom.org/events/annual-meeting/submitting best wishes
