Hi, there. My name is Eric Maestri. I am a composer and I create music. A few years ago I wrote this short presentation trying to define my poetics:

"My first piece is entitled "The music I don't have in mind". It's a kind of musical theatre, in which writing, thinking, listening and counting are combined. I can write and then listen. Pose, and then compose. This thought is still at the centre of my compositional practice. In my musical practice I try to bring out the moment when the written sign becomes sound. My way of composing is oriented towards this compositional instant, where the time of the piece and that of living experience touch each other"
