At Northern Sun Mercantile in Rawsonville, Vermont we are passionate about providing local foods farm to table, Vermont gifts, and beautiful plants and flowers from our greenhouse. We operate a small retail store where we sell our products and products from other farms, growers, and crafters from around Vermont and the Northeast. We raise and process about 700 broiler chickens per year for meat and currently have about 150 laying hens for eggs. We have two greenhouses on the property that we operate from early Spring through Fall. We also have several colonies of honeybees that we manage for honey. We are always adding to our workload with various things and have a plan for next spring to raise more of our own produce in raised beds.
