I used to live in Chalmette with my brother, father and mother. I lived there for twenty seven years ( May 1976- March 27, 2003). My brother left Chalmette to go to college when he was 18 in 1985. But the three of us didn't leave Chalmette until 2003. We sold our house that year, and we lived one block off of St. Bernard Highway. This video proves that everyone is gone. Watching this video, you don't see any people at all, no children laughing or playing in the streets. You also see many unkempt, uncut weeds laying all over the place, even up to some people's front door. And you also see many empty lots and abandoned homes. Just no signs of humanity. And remember, this video was filmed four years after Katrina. This is very sad.
