The automotive world is a pretty neat place with a lot of different avenues. While I am not a mechanic, I do have an eye for detail and love tinkering and modifying each car I own. I hope to share some of those stories and projects with you and others who love their cars or a good DIY project!

Full 180 - TL 6MT for THIS? Best 4x4 SUV for the money?
Wait, what? Your LX trim came with push button start? Wow, our new 2024 Sportage hybrid eLX sure didn't
Bravo 👏 and the look is OEM …great job
How long does the coating last?
@TevinThomas-ds3ch lasted me 2 years of being parked outside 24/7 before I saw my first issues of it flaking off. I think my issue was i sanded it to 1000 grit, a final sanding at a lower grit would probably be better.
People yes there still brembos honda just used their logo 😂
Why does the airbag have to be changed out too?
@richarde2530 one airbag has a cut out for buttons, the other one does not.
Is this the case for the j95 prado can i just get a steering and hook it up or will the clock spring have to be changed?
Directed here from the interwebs, lovin' the fact that this actually works on my '07 WRX as well! #fistbump
I’ve been wanting to do this for my 05 STI. There was a guy who made the little blue pieces to fit the chips but he was out when I checked. I can’t believe they switched them out. I’m going to epoxy mine on so it doesn’t fall off on accident
Very good job,.❤ Tell me, where do you get the dash cover? Thank you 😊
@pablosaulpintopinto3244 I got it off of ebay, just search "Acura TL 2004-2006 Brushed Suede Dash Board Cover Mat Black" They still sell them, I was really happy with mine.
This helped me figure out I can remote start my 2014 Kia soul with the smart fob , lost my remote start fob, thank you !!!!
@Koolaid_145 happy to hear it helped, it's a great fature to know. 😀
Thank you so much for this install. I just got a 15 EX and i wanna start doing the upgrades, this is first on my list. Exactly what i was looking for.
@franciscoruiz7389 that's awesome to hear, very easy mod to do, affordable, and worth every penny haha.
Ok so, I have a 2005 4runner and actually just finished putting together a move bumper for it and am going to swap out the headlights to 2006 ones. Thing is, I already have LED headlights on the current ones. Do I still need a OEM Toyota headlamp cord to do the switch from 2005 to 2006 LED headlights?
The Toyota headlamp cord is needed to get your orange turn signals from your 05 front bumper to your new 06 headlights. Depending on what Move bumper you got, you could just install orange turn signal lights into your new bumper with aftermarket bulbs instead of using the Toyota headlamp cord to relocate them to your 06 headlights. Hope that makes sense!
@My.Lame.Perspective I already finished it and had it powder coated and I saw pictures like that on moves website too late 🤦♂️ Could you possibly send close up pictures of how it attaches to the headlamp cord? You don't really show that in the video. If not that's ok, I could send you my email if you can.
@@meowmix5830 would if I could, sold the 4runner earlier this year 😪
@@My.Lame.Perspective Nooooo! Sadness. Thanks anyway

@TheKingDrew yeah, just rounded edges. But the interiors were so much better haha. At least the ones I had
🤣🤣🤣 eats my Sundays
Id take this over a Challenger all day
@F37K I mean I wish I had both haha 😄
can you make one for 2012 rav4?
@JasonNgo-ru1ny I'd love to but don't plan to buy a rav any time soon.
I wish i can get that 2
This looks easier than I thought it would be. Thanks for taking the time to post it. It takes some of the pressure off us first time doers.
Got to love the internet anybody can post anything and anybody can comment anything
"14 Mil" ?? Probably meant to say 14 mm... as opposed to referencing 14 thousandths of an inch.
Well, it would then be newly painted, close enough.
But did you clean where the metal brackets fit so the rust does not make them too tight? And what about the slide bolts? Did you clean and regress them? And wow, greasy fingerprints on the old rotor - did you make sure not to do that to the new rotor. If you are going to give advice give all the correct advise. You are leaving too many things out and if someone follows your method they could be screwed.
Does spray painting the rotor give your client the illusion that it's new part?
It comes like that.
I was gonna say to not forget to retension it but then i saw the year your working with. Those newfangled things probably do it themselves
@rufusshaver3429 I actually had to go back a few times afterward to get them just right, but they work great now. 👍
no grease for the slides... This is a hack job.
Oh for sure, when I trimmed the footage down I cut some parts out but I totally forget to grease the pads and slides. 🤦😅
You can see that has an electronic parking brake I really hope you put that into service mode because you will damage by just “moving it back” please drop your shop name so i know to tell people to never go thete
@w9006 I just work on my own rigs, and this truck had a physical brake not a electric one. But you are right if it had the electric one you would need to put it in maintenence mode. Thanks for watching!
@@My.Lame.PerspectiveNot for the front only the rear.
he is working on the front there is no parking brake
I don’t think anyone’s asking someone who doesn’t know the different between front and rear brakes for advice on mechanical shops
Thanks for your video. You didn't have to add any wiring to your clock spring?
I also like free magnets
I've gotten 3 in one box once
I see them fall out of boxes constantly! I work at a lot of fedex facilities and at one of the ones I do work at there is a machine that has 30 magnets on it
That explains why some of my orders don't have magnets 😂
@@My.Lame.Perspective they tend to slip out and stick to the machines for sure :P
93 subaru Manual says to change cam and crank sensor i have to remove timing belt ... is there a way around this 😮😮
What website did you order your front lip from?
@gabez-illa7148 www.ebay.com/itm/324140131309 I thought it was from Russia, I guess not haha.
I have p000b i just replaced the sensor on the passanger side but not the driver side but code still comes up as p000b should i have replaced both if any info please help me out thank you
@angelotorres8051 pooob should be usdm passanger side cam sensor, but if one side is bad usually the other side isn't far behind. I'd change it personally. If that doesn't fix the issue you may have a short somewhere? Mine ended up being a wiring connector that got wet so could be that too.
I legit thought you were going to name the 10mm socket as the tool you need to find, because I need to buy a new one everytime I work on my vehicles.
Pretty sure I buy a new 10mm every few months. I should just buy em in bulk 😂
Thanks for this! Just did this with my 2007 Sequoia. The only problem now is my airbag light is on. The wheel and controls work fine, any idea what could he going on? 🤔
@nomadic_hurd hmm, that's strange as mine was just plug and play. My guess would be the parts are just different enough (different power resistance?) It's thinking something is wrong. That or your new airbag thinks it's been detonated? I would try taking it off, clean all connections and plug it back in.
@@My.Lame.Perspective disregard! I figured it out. I didn't have the two connector snap things on all the way for the airbag 🤦♂️. Everything is working great now. Thanks again for the video, super helpful!
@nomadic_hurd oh heck ya that's great! We'll enjoy, one of my favorite mods I did to my 4R!
Wow this is really going to help me with my 4runner!
@@Dubdubgarage someone has to show you how to keep your 4Runner running. 😂
It's a struggle your videos are the only thing that keep it running 🤌🏼
Awesome vid, always wanted to do this on my 4gen, super easy, thanks man!
Yo Am I going color blind or did you paint the calipers yellow and then they rolled out red?
Haha, no I originally painted them Yellow and was going to get some TSW wheels, but changed my mind and repainted them red and kept the OEM wheels.
@@My.Lame.Perspective Oh ok nice! Rebuilding a 6MT TL myself as well and still debating what color to go with on the calipers. Probably going to stick with oem wheels or some newer Integra wheels.
@@Estranged_Enthusiast12 I came across a set of Spec A 18" wheels and always regretted not getting those. But ya OEM+ is my favorite.

OK @bericbuilds needs your help
I realize this is an older video, but I have been thinking about powder coating my wheels. I like this idea much better due to cost. Do you have a video showing this process? Which type of PlastiDip did you use...spray I assume? Was the final this glossy w/o their Glossifier?
Plasti dip is way more affordable then powder coating. As for plsti dip, I just used regular black, no glossifier. I used the official video and used plastic shopping bags to cover the brakes and tire shine on the wheels so the plasti dip doesn't stick to them. Here is the video I used. Good luck! ruclips.net/video/AFYX_5cS1go/видео.html
@@My.Lame.Perspective Thank you!
GASP is that even legal. that key is the inly reason i bought my 04 lol
Thank wanted to do mine 😅😅😅
Hey u didn’t say that you will need to depin. Socket from remote control to cruise control at least mine it had to 😢😢
On my 2005 Tundra SR5, I have to unplug the cruise control and plug the volume button connector in. They bout use the same connector location. Did you run into this? I suppose I could re-pin or trace or splice the wires. Any ideas? Thanks
I think in your case you'd have to re-pin them or look for a volume button set that has the cruise control already integrated into the same plug like mine did, because I used the cruise control that came with my volume buttons. Hope that helps, good luck!
I have the square 08-14 intercooler… you can really just spray it with water and or cleaners and then just air dry in the sun? Flip it over?
Thats what I did and it works great. I've pulled it off the engine now a few times while working on the engine and the intercooler still looks good inside and out.
Where's the Crankshaft Position Sensor on a 2016 Subaru WRX, 2.0L? Are the locations of the Camshaft Position Sensors in the video the exact location for the 2016 Subaru WRX, 2.0L?
A 2016 WRX uses the FA 2.0, not an EJ255 - its a totally different engine. Try this link and diagram, hopefully it helps! parts.subaru.com/a/Subaru_2016_/49231365__6464554/SPARK-PLUG--HIGH-TENSION-CORD/V10-090-02.html#22053
@@My.Lame.Perspective Thank you. While the link diagram didn't match my engine, I was able to use the search engine on the website to find my car and part location.
@@PCProphecy Hey thats great, I use these diagrams all the time. Hope you get your car up and running again soon!
Now time to test the airbag! Just kidding, thanks for this video. Will definitely be doing this mod to my truck.
🙃 "Promo sm"
Maybe i should be checking the wiring Diagrams first before i ask but I don't care about running the fogs without the headlights on but i do care about the fogs turning off when the high beams are used. Can i just perform step two under the sterring column without step one that you did under the hood?
As far as I know yes, that should work.
@@My.Lame.Perspective Thanks for your input. I'm using the high beam switch and fog switch with a Switch Pros which has two trigger points. When the trigger is hot it will turn on whatever outputs you want. So instead of pressing the buttons on the switch pros I can use the OEM stalk to switch two sets of lights. I'll report back after I've connected those two wires under the steering column to confirm. Cheers.
Awe man the absolute best forester ever made
Thanks, I couldn't agree more! Finally getting it tuned soon now that the weather is getting nice again.
