MADULA is a young persons project based in the North Staffs Area offering opportunities for young people to experience and involve themselves in exciting music with artists from all over the world.
The group continues to thrive, developing youngsters confidence and self-esteem, forging and developing new friendships and collaborations and sharing experience - all through the medium of a piece of wood, goat skin, three metal rings and some rope - “the djembe drum”.

Creating Peace - festival & workshop pilot event - Madula & New Vic Borderlines - 10th Aug 2024
On 10th Aug 2024, Madula & the New Vic Borderlines hosted the Creating Peace festival & workshop pilot event at the New Vic Theatre, Newcastle Under Lyme.
This event was the first of its kind, taking place when the New Vic is normally closed to the public - and gave a chance for members of the public to experience different artforms and cultures, take part in workshops and get to know the artists within the community. The event was made free to the public.
The intention is to expand the event into a full festival with more workshops and artists for 2025. Thanks to all the artists, visitors and members of the public who came together to make the event a great success!
