Do you have a link for the swivel parts and the bottom plastic bumpers.

I have been STRUGGLING with my inset back dining chairs. This was extremely helpful. Now if I could gather enough patience to sew piping I'll be set. P.s. Did the donut place ever call?
No, still waiting 😋
this was very helpful!!!! thank you
Just what I needed
Amazing!!
What size staples did you use? I don't know if it's just the video, but i couldn't see your staples. I just tried to do mine, and the staples i used show everywhere. I want to do them over.
I use series 7 #22 crown staples for a Rainco staple gun. Most of the staples should be on the bottom on the board.
Thank you.
Hi What does that white thin fabric is called ? The one you took sewing off in the starting.
Spunbond polypropylene
Spunbond polypropylene
Spunbond polypropylene
That was fun watching.
Now who does the doorknob installation? 🫣 that's scary too!! Has to be perfect 👍🏻
This house has been gutted and practically rebuilt. The construction crew will be installing the door.
Watching this had my heart in my throat a few times. Fantastic work!!
The chair looks great!!
Very good tutorial.
Lovely job but backbreaking sewing it on the floor
Really glad I found you channel! Ive really wanted to get into furniture and your channel will for sure help me learn
Very interesting video! I do have a question though. How many yards of fabric were needed to recover this chair?
Around 7. I usually have the client get 8
@MarksUpholstery Thanks! Thar is helpful 😃 I have a very old chair I was given for free so if I ever get some courage I will also know how much fabric to get 😅
What about overstuff chairs with sinuous springs? I weight 300 lbs and hate sitting in a hole. Would a similar solution work?
@MarksUpholstery thanks for the lesson. Something went wrong with the audio at the point you were gluing the foam on and it never went back to normal. I think micky mouse said you want glue on both sides...lol. Turned out good.
@MarksUpholstery thanks for the lesson. You did a great job lining up the ribbing on the edge! That takes skill. What is the make and model of the air compressor, staple gun and pressure foot for the ribbing please?
I recommend not using this method. Seats have sag at the bottom, not a board. It will feel entirely different than you're used to. Buy the flexible strips and staple them in. That should be your base, not a board.
Nonsense, unless you’re planning on watching movies from these seats. Boards last far longer and are comfortable enough with decent padding
@@MarksUpholstery We'll agree to disagree. But there's a reason boards aren't used on chairs and those flex strips are.
Very nice!
Brilliant video thanks
Great idea!!! Thanks
Mark..when you quote a job that is a plaid and becomes this involved…do you just add a fixed price or do you add a percentage to account for the extra labor in doing the plaid? Very good video!
Unfortunately, when I quote a job they don’t tell me what the fabric is. I typically assume the worse case scenario and quote higher for all wings.
@@MarksUpholsterythanks Mark…again great video.
It looks great but that should definitely be illegal. 😅🫣🫠
What about the back?
What kind of machine do you use to stitch the seams? Like at the armrests, backing pillows etc? Are these all stitched separately and then put on or is there a machine that can stitch in place on the couch frame?
Parts are sewed separately then upholstered. I use a Consew 206-rb
I think this video was just what I needed. Thank you.
I'm impressed. Awesome video Mark! Thank you.📐✏️
Great idea pinning the cushion to the board to facilitate hand sewing it closed. I would normally pin it and the pins get in the way and make sewing a slower process.
Beautiful job! The striped fabric looks so contemporary on such a traditional piece of furniture. 👏🏻you are a master upholsterer. This video was so informative and I really appreciate that there was no glue/adhesive involved. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your work. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. I believe I can do that.
Beautiful chair, love the quail material! 😍
Hi thank you for the video, new subscriber! I am wondering if using shredded memory foam for the back cushion is ever recommended. It seems like it might be springier or bounce back well?
We used it a while in my uncle’s shop when he had a shredder. IMO, it is less durable over time.
@@MarksUpholstery thank you!
Fantastic work! Thank you for sharing. I'm interested in having custom furniture made and would love to know how I can get in touch with you. Thank you!
I appreciate your interest, but I’m a closed clientele shop, thanks
Is there an easy way to repair a broken dining chair where they used cork instead of wood and it broken?

Hello, I am 30 years old and I am starting my upholstery business. I am very passionate about your work, and I am very grateful for your content. You can be sure that this craft will continue for many generations to come, until the end of time. A hug!
Yes it will👍🏼, thanks
Luv it
Thank you appreciate it so much
I'm over here trying to work up the courage to recover two armed dining chairs and watching this Lord of Upholstery Fabric Magician Extraordinaire work absolute magic on this wingback has utterly intimidated me! lol! It's friggin' beautiful and I am way out of my depths here! 🤣
Wow, that’s mind blowing 😊
Great Video! Thank You SOOO Much!! I purchased a pair of swivel barrel chairs. But when I opened the box I had to attach the swivel base myself. I saw the 4 holes pre-drilled in the bottom of the chair but I could NOT figure out how to access the bolts to tighten them. I searched how to assemble base for this brand of chair but no luck. (and the store was closed so no help there). Found your video and decided to watch how to assemble from scratch. Now I see how to use that pre-drilled hole to access each bolt. I feel kinda dumb now but still very happy!!!! Clear, precise instructions. thx
Beautiful job
What a transformation. Great work. I know this is an old video, but what's the material on the back of the sofa? So many cheap sofas have such a loose back and that drives me crazy. The back of my sofa is open and gets stretched out when people stand behind it.
helpful !! thank you!!
Still watching all your videos. If you only knew how much I've learned watching your techniques. I'll never be at your master level but Im getting pretty dang good! Thanks so much!
Thank you 🙂
3:00 I usually loop both twines around the button a few times before finally locking it with knots. Love your videos by the way.
Thank you for another excellent video!
Thank you Mark!
Excellent! Thank you!! What type of wood was used for the seat square?
@@iluvhou I used 5/4 poplar 1 1/8x 1 1/8 and 1/2 plywood. Any 1 inch square or 2x2 from the box stores will work.
