Im literally thinking the same
fully depends on what you're looking to get out of it. If you want to run very intense and demanding applications, go for the pro. If you are looking for something less taxing on the device, ipad air. They are very similar experience wise, and I don't think you will really feel a difference (unless we are talking price).

I bought air just becouse its newer and i dont need it to be as strong as a laptop all i do is drawing taking notes and other basic stuff it works wonderfull
