Hi, Mauritius is hot in December and Summer lasts for about 6 months. There are cyclones and sometimes floods so it is best to book your visit in the winter months - May to October. If you Google Mauritius weather you will get a long range forecast.

@Kerry White thank you so much for response, I am afraid of possible storms etc but I really want the hot weather, I have booked for May but checked weather a bit late (my bad) then realised its only 24 degrees in May...UK is hotter than that!! So will risk the cyclone 🌀 (God forbid it)

@@Michal10. Yes Michal, Tamarin was shot in 2012, Wolmar in 2017, and La Pointe in either 2016, 2017 or 2018. I have lost files with dates on them. This Video "Wolmar" was edited and uploaded in Australia about a month ago by me.

@@kerrywhite5058 Are you from Australia? I have not been there yet. But it's my favorite country. It would be good to visit New Zealand as well. Such a holiday is not possible now. I would have to travel ideally from Pert to Sydney and Melbourne. And then take New Zealand. That's at least 3-4 weeks. I don't get so many days off at work. I have to wait until retirement. But to save. In retirement, I may be happy to make a living and pay for housing. It will also work for me on holiday in Europe, but probably not for luxury anymore. Hard to guess now.

@@Michal10Thanks Michal, Yes I am in Australia and prevented from returning to Mauritius since the Pandemic began in 2020. Australian borders have re opened but now the Air line companies have increased prices and hours spent flying. Air Mauritius used to fly direct non-stop from Perth to Mauritius via Melbourne. Air Mauritius hopefully resumes these flights in November 2022. Emirates flights from Australia now stop over at Singapore and Dubai. But Emirates has "Dubai Connect" for stopovers more than 12 hours - they provide a complimentary Dubai Hotel stay.

Thankyou Michal, yes I agree , it has a blended history , culture and architecture like Port Louis but the Lagoon and the forest near History Museum on the Royal Road and the shimmering river make it more beautiful.

@@kerrywhite5058 I really liked the museum in Mahebourg. I mean, next to him is an old locomotive wagon. In Port Louis we were at the Blue Penny Museum. I liked it as much as the museum in Mahebourg. In addition to the Blue Penny Museum, we were at a museum about the first Indians in Mauritius.

paticake 321 Thanks for your comment, it depends on your financial situation and whether you drive and if you like country quietness or to live as the locals do with supermarkets, cafes, pharmacies, banks, medical centers nearby. Why don't you wait until after October 1st to see the changes to Covid protocol. Have you joined Mauritius in Quarantine yet. @@anywherebelleface1934hi, please Google www.mauritiusnow.com for the list of official Quarantine Hotels. They have only one 2 star Hotel, Les Cocotiers at Baie du Tombeau . Mauritius now gives prices in the local currency, the Mauritius Rupee. Please prepare for sudden changes in quarantine hotel availability as some hotels may be fully booked. Good luck & Bon Voyage.

@@anywherebelleface1934 Hi, please Google : Mauritius Visa Requirements as they are different for every country. I am sorry HG Jesus but I am not authorised to reserve a hotel room for you . The MTPA Booking Platform is where you book Hotel Quarantine. Also you have to book your flight to Mauritius first with Air Mauritius or Emirates.Mauritius has very strict Covid 19 Protocols in place and some countries are banned temporarily because of severe outbreaks of the Delta variant. Also you really need to speak English, French or Mauritian Creole languages. As well you need lots of money to show to Immigration if you want your Visa.
