What a beautiful place

I live in Lithuania. I was in Texas in 2003 (Lackland AFB as international military student). Enjoyed everything about TX except summer heat.

Top ten cities I would bomb if I was God 1 Phoenix 2 San Antonio 3 Albuquerque 4 St. Louis 5 Santa Fe 6 Detroit 7 Baltimore 8 Las Cruces 9 Houston 10 Tucson

No mention of the horrible downtown riots and damage; the Alamo is closed and surrounded by a high riot fence and concrete barrier to keep out rioters cars; many restaurants and shops closed and few locals because of fear; and a whopping 17 percent hotel room tax when you check out

First, it is now illegal to ride a scooter or bicycle on the narrow downtown sidewalks=$100 fine........2020 downtown is now ruined by daily riots and protests........locals avoid downtown because of fear of riots...........all windows on Houston St. are covered in plywood.........and tourists beware: 18% hotel tax--highest in Texas and amoung the highest in the nation!!

I have lived in San Francisco for 14 years now (from MA) and although this is an amazing city, the people are really "out there" for the most part. Like, insane people everywhere. I'm 32 now and just don't feel that I belong here anymore. It's become unaffordable to live here (I am a bartender) and there are homeless people and crack heads everywhere. The smell of human shit and urine permeates this city and now it never rains, and I love the rain. I'm hoping to save up a bit of money and visit San Antonio, something is calling me there. I earn $3,000 per month on a good month and the rent for my BEDROOM is $1,600...this doesn't work for me. Are there a good number of restaurants and bars in San Antonio as this is my area of expertise.

Generations come and go in San Antonio too. The old cemeteries are filled with people who lived and died in San Antonio from the 1800's to 2017. I have good and bad memories while growing up in San Antonio in the 1950's. Left San Antonio in 1964 at the age of 13. Have been living in California for years. Last time I visited San Antonio was in 1981 when my fther passed away. He was a WW2 veteran. I even remembered my old last address when we left. 813 So. San Marcos between Guadalupe and El Paso Street.

The water at the riverwalk stinks. Do not eat outside riverwalk cafes, unless you can tolerate to smell sewer water while eating.
